  1. @hacks Coin case glitch works on VC. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Now, I've got a few more glitches sourced from the internet! If you like to convert your Pokemon into various different species, but don't like changing the items in the PC all the time, this is for you! (first person I thought of was you, @HaxAras ) Coin Case Glitch as Memory Editor (using Box 9 name) Changing Species 2.0 How this glitch works is similar to other iterations of the coin case glitch. Key difference being the determination of the Pokemon you choose, is based on the name of Box 9. Also, Quagsire is holding Protein. Original source before adaptation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KlxO_Ge_BdI, and Source appears to be using Crystal's work. Giving your Slot 1 Pokemon held item Same steps as above, with key differences: Step 3: Instead of !/RZ_ _ , use !/SZ_ _ Using the table above example for Master Ball, it will be !/SZAB How this all works: For example, look at the Glitch city's cheat code page for the code to Changing your species of slot one. It is 01??2ADA , meaning at DA2A, write value (??) to it. Now, convert that DA2A to respective code required for the box name (using table above): you get !/RZ Going back to the code page, and wanting to change DVs to become shiny, you get: 01FA3FDA 01AA40DA Meaning you need to do the coin case glitch twice, with: 01FA3FDA -> DA3F write FA -> !/gZ59 01AA40DA -> DA40 write AA -> !/hZ9l Another Example: permanent change of character's sprite color 01??03D2 -> D203 write ?? -> 'r9AD_ _ Example: This method wouldn't work with every cheat code, such as changing wild encounters. (those type of codes need to be always on RAM, and coin case glitch doesn't keep that value active in RAM for very long..; Coin case glitch is better suited for changing values in the save.) Obtaining Celebi in Japanese Gold and Silver, via Bug Catching Glitch Important: This will only work, if your sixth slot in party was NEVER filled. Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e2d6yZPHJog edit: I've updated the memory editor and table.

  2. Your save loaded fine for me. You should try the latest build. https://teamcity.projectpokemon.org/repository/download/PKHeX_BuildWindows/13515:id/PKHeX Build 3837.zip

  3. Hey all! This thread will be used to preserve and figure out how data works for the Gen II games. Here is what has been documented. Pokemon Gold/Silver: (International) (Japanese) (Korean) Pokemon Crystal: (International) (Japanese)

  4. @theSLAYER Ah oké, so my GTS plan won't work then. Guess I'll just do what you recommended. I have not synced my game for multiple months though, I still have to complete the main game haha. As always, thanks for your input.

  5. 1->7 uses a special encoding table, I assume it will be updated when transporter is updated to support 2->7 (see jp_table and us_table in StringConverter.cs) https://github.com/kwsch/PKHeX/blob/e6f43ff629b83f25ae3e514f0d3f931c773a06e0/PKHeX.Core/PKM/StringConverter.cs#L584-L591 basically an array of 'transferred' characters that is accessed by the gen1 encoding value. Anyway, added 6 more jpn gen2 characters to the encoding table https://github.com/kwsch/PKHeX/commit/e6f43ff629b83f25ae3e514f0d3f931c773a06e0 no legality checks right now to check for characters not selectable for gen1; could be useful in weeding out gen1 origin encounters (pls lmk if there's any missing chars for the lookup table, I think I got them all?)

  6. The item is stored until you pick it up from the deliveryman in the Poke Center, so it isn't preset daily if that's what you mean, and yes it is set after doing Mystery Gift and unclaimed for your own game. Nothing of the sort is recorded for the other player(s) aside from their ID. Thanks man!

  11. Hello, Thank's for your research. Their unfortunately still missing some data especially for Mystery Gift and, because no emulator emulates infrared it's hard to test without multiple consoles ( GBC or 3DS ) with multiple versions : You can use the "Mystery Gift" only once a day with the same trainer, and only with 5 trainer a day. The game must therefore at least record the ID of the last five trainers and some kind of timestamp for the last mystery gift. It's technically possible to test this with only two consoles and two versions by changing the trainerID but it will take much longer. I currently looking for this data to develop a 3DS homebrew to replace the "mystery gift" function from Pokémon Stadium but I do not have a second console to do these tests.

  12. Wish I'd known that three years ago. I've got about 300 of these things to re-transfer with PKHeX. But god you don't know how happy it makes me to hear that. You kids these days with your legality checkers. Back in my day we used an untranslated Japanese program still in alpha and HxD and we were grateful.

  13. If you had the pkm files (or save file) in gen3 format, you can always drag them over to any future generation save file and PKHeX will convert them for you! No need to try and fake the transferred data

  14. Raichu/Pikachu: Only place Pikachu can be captured (in Sapphire) is in the Safari Zone. >The Raichu was from an egg >Origin Seed: EB907277 >PID Type: Method_1 definitely not from an egg
