  2. To find the offset you could upload a Pokemon from NDS, use it in a battle and search for it's PID in RAM. Then use the rental team and search around the same offset. By the way I have just seen that there are 4 additional Rental Passes that you can unlock while playing through the game. https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Rental_Pass The BK4 file format is described in PKHeX's source https://github.com/kwsch/PKHeX/blob/master/PKHeX.Core/PKM/BK4.cs, they are 88 bytes. For the encryption you can take a look at PKHeX's source again (BK4.cs, SAV4BR.cs, SaveUtil.cs), or refer to Tux's tool https://gist.github.com/TuxSH/6a3a6b48b8a5564f6215 Maybe those links will help. Since you can't catch any Pokemon in Battle Revolution I don't thnk there's a special met location for them. I guess it's just blank or you will see it as "Faraway Place".

  3. Yeah i just have had plenty of ignorant support questions from CFW users asking "how i use hans" for my hacks. Hans doesn't support CRO patching and it requires entire compiled ROMFS bin files on the SD, so vs LayeredFS it: Is less fully featured (cannot edit starters, shops in SM, legendaries in XYORAS...) Takes up much more space on the SD Has longer load times Requires the user to either download a prepackaged ROMFS (considered to be piracy by Project Pokemon rules, so the files couldn't be posted here) or... Requires the user to obtain their own ROMFS files, overwrite, and rebuild (introduces a lot of room for user error, PC issues, etc) Is less convenient to load since it needs you to open Homebrew then load the HANS launcher (or a custom HANS launcher banner if the romhack includes it) Cannot use game updates, meaning it can never go online and will miss out on possibly important bug fixes (XY Lumiose save glitch, for example) HANS was a really good tool back when the only other way to use a ROM hack was by patching a .3ds or .cia file, but now that there's stuff like Luma3DS Game Patching there really isn't a need for HANS besides the poor souls that are locked out of CFW but can still use HBL. Thankfully with NTRBoothax, everyone in that state is one flashcart away from full CFW.

  4. The image is a joke, and is a gross misrepresentation of how it works. Well, almost. NTRBootHax, formerly known as MagnetHax, has been released for public usage. Earlier this year, with a combined usage of a Magnet and a NDS Flashcart, @SciresM demonstrated in a video that he gained early access to bootrom of the 3DS. This method is also said to be able to salvage 3DSs' from the hell, that made them effectively a brick. A magnet is only required for models that can be "flipped shut"; 2DS (non-XL) doesn't require this. Possibly due to an oversight by programmers/hardware developers, the 3DS checks to see if Start+Select+X is held down, and if the shell is closed. If so, the 3DS will attempt to boot from an NDS cartridge from the bootrom (with bootrom access). Hence, the purpose of the magnet is enable a state that the 3DS believes that the shell is closed. With this hax, it'll allow CFW installation, enabling the use of save editors like PKHeX and ROM hacks. 5. Removed the mention of HANS. Thanks for pointing this out. We should probably mention LayeredFS at some point, but at least HANS isn't the focus anymore.

  6. Don't even bother mentioning HANS here. This hax allows CFW installation, so you can use Luma3ds LayeredFS, which is better than HANS in every way!

  8. Citra 3DS is a work-in-progress emulator for 3DS games. Its compatibility has been steadily improving for years, but many games, including the 3DS Pokémon Mystery Dungeon games, were unplayable. Recent updates have made Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity and Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon playable at full speed, even when using higher-than-normal resolutions. This will no doubt be useful for users, being able to play games with graphics that are better than what can be displayed on the 3DS, and game modders, being able to test mods without constantly having to copy files to SD cards. I played through the intro of Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon with few problems, and I've made an album containing screenshots along the way, showing what it looks like when the internal resolution is 4 times greater than the 3DS's resolution (for a total of 1600x960). 10. @Deoxyz yeah I too, heard of that, but I'm unsure if that was the reason for it. Plus, they could always bundle the event with Pokemon GO. Pokemon Go's event had a lot of people in the US. Niantic just needs to.. not screw that part up. @InsaneNutter & @jasenyoface I'll say that it's because we've yet to see juicy details of USUM XD I hope that the cheap GS boxes comes to the local game store, but then again my 3DS with me is JP region >< @Holla! to get PKHeX to support it, the save offsets needs to be documented. I've considered doing it (since I've did the Japanese one before), but I've been busy

  11. edit: yup, all layers need to be extracted, then use apng-maker (linked above) to make a apng, in order to have variable transparency. I'll advise using a program that has a feature (or maybe plugins) that allows dumping all layers into separate files, when you're done editing. example: Species CombeeTest Nickname (default, save lang) OT (TBA) TID (TBA) Distribution (TBA) Location (TBA) Dates (TBA) PID Cannot Be Shiny Games SM Lv. 50 note: above example isn't complete. I just spliced a few frames, to test how it looks like as an animated png.

  12. No worries, you're probably not used to the program. Make sure only said layer is the visible one, make sure you're selecting the correct layer, then wizard an area, and hit delete, and see what happens >< edit: Also, I'm starting to think that to achieve partial transparency, it files needs to be saved as .apng And if it can't be saved as animated png, all the layers will need to be dumped, and uploaded to a program/site that can do it, such as https://ezgif.com/apng-maker
