  1. If you have any European carts, then we could probably use the rom dumps. I've been in contact with someone who has all 16 US DS distro carts, and I've instructed him on methods to dump the roms, so I hope to have them by next week. However we can't upload roms here, or even link to them, but I've been helping build the most extensive distro rom compilation over on another site that is ok with roms. I can discuss it more in private if you're interested or have anything you want to contribute.

  2. Sorry I don't k ow which thread to put this in. I have a couple of carts and was wondering is there a list of 4th and 5th gen distro carts that have and haven't been dumped to the public yet?

  4. Alright; I did a thing. Basically, the abilities "Run Away" and "Klutz" are completely removed from the game, and the Pokémon who did have it, now have their hidden ability instead, if it existed in Gen IV. For example, Eevee now has Adaptability and Anticipation, and Ponyta now has Flame Body and Flash Fire. I made an exception for Aipom though, as they'd lose the ability Skill Link upon evolution if I followed this rule. Note that this will make the Raticates you find in numerous dungeons quite a bit harder, not only do they no longer run away from you, but they also have Hustle which will add 50% to their physical attack. Another thing is that I've made it so that Abra no longer loses the ability to float over water or lava when they evolve into Kadabra and then into Alakazam. I have no idea why it wasn't like this beforehand, especially considering all of Alakazam's sprites show them floating! Lastly, Castform's size has been reduced to 2 stars instead of 4, Gyrados' to 3 stars from 4, and Milotic's to 3 from 4. I don't believe Castfrom is overpowered like the devs evidently did, especially considering he's damaged by sandstorms. As for Gyrados and Milotic, as they're both non-legendaries who evolve from 1 star Pokémon, I think 3 stars is more appropriate. Interestingly, even though there's no Pokémon in the game who already has a size of 3, it works just perfectly and how you'd expect. So, yeah. I've done some testing with it and it all seems good. I think I edited both the male and female of each species, but let me if now if I missed anything. I didn't have a patch because of the various regions, and you may already have filled in the portraits with SkyEditor or changed the ROM in some way, so I'll just leave the files. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B1-sBoZAiZiGdThBRS1iTVpYQlU To patch a ROM with these files, just download this, and follow this until the "romstats" folder appears, open it, and drop the files into "pokemon_data". Then hit "3a_CompileEverythingAndMakeRom.bat" and the rom.nds is your patched ROM. Of course, it wouldn't have been possible without @psy_commando's tools, I just made this to show off what they could do.

  5. Edited ROMs can only be played on exploited consoles. Please do not ask (nor private message me) how to obtain/dump/decrypt/unpack/repack ROMs as that is unrelated to the functionality of this program. Download Link At Bottom of Post pk3DS is a ROM editor for 3DS games with tools from various contributors. All editors displayed are fully functional. Simply feed it a folder (drag/drop or by File->Open) which contains the game romfs & exefs extracted content folders. http://i.imgur.com/iEsoudA.png Randomizers available: Trainer Battles (Pokemon / Items / Moves / Abilities / Difficulty / Classes) Wild Encounters (Species, Level, Gen/Legend Specific, ORAS DexNav won't crash!) 7. From what I understand, Bottle Caps don't change the actual IV values, it's just kind of like a cloak that makes them act as if they were maxed out. So for example, a maxed stat of 31 would still be 24, just not act as 24. I can't really tell if transferring to PokeBank is going to reset this or not.

  8. I agree. A tutorial on how to do this would be great. I have a rom but cannot open it with the program. As far as I know the rom needs to be dumped but I dont know how to go about doing this. Getting a Gateway soon so it would be nice to have a rom ready to play when I get it.

  10. Agreed, I feel a decent guide could really bolster 6th Gen editing as all these wonderfuls tools have been made but the process of editing is closed off and can be quite overwhelming to new users. This tool looks extremely useful btw massive thanks to all involved in making it.

  11. Is there a guide on doing this? Or a way to edit the rom straight from the .3ds file extension similar to how B&W/2 worked. I really want to randomize Omega Ruby

  12. pk3DS only edits 3DS games. If you want to edit Switch games, use pkNX. For previous games, use another program
