not "some" but only one .. and that's my ..

and thanks for clarifying ^^

don't mess with suicune ... it's not as easy as you think ...

because the IV in the original GBA is glitched .. and you need to hex it so it will look like it was migrated from GBA game ^^

But the IV's of a Suicune from Pokemon Colosseum don't have a glitch like in the GBA games, no?

Except we do not know the Algorithm of the PID, so we cannot calculate them properly.

And you would still need to make it look pal-parked.

Well I think there is something that i don't undestand in this PID and SID story yet, sorry. (I don't know anything about programming xD)

To do a max IV's 31 and shiny pokemon from a egg, the PID number no matter. But to do the same with a wild pokémon i need to find a "Shiny SID"!!

With a "Shiny SID" in hands i can use IVPID.exe program to find the right PID for my pokemon. So, i will be able to build him. Am I right???

(I'm trying to understand with the information that I have)

With which PID number I need use to find my "Shiny SID"?

I think it's the PID number from the pokémon that i want edit, for example this Suicune that's a problem for you.

You can't trade this Suicune from Colosseum for your game card, and see his PID, find your Shiny SID, and them find the right PID for him and them edit him in the pokesav??? I hope you can teach me, because i'm bit confused with this story yet.

I think we, noobs, need a "how to start" faq in this site. With information that we need follow to do everything fine. For example, I learned how to use the pokesav, i know how do legal eggs... but now i need to know how do a shiny wild, them how use wonder cards.... The ease first and the hard last, did you undestand?? xD

well , several months ago when i was still being a noob ... (in the old forum) ..

I did self-study and never posted in the forum ^^ ...

i always used search feature over and over ...

and i know the basic stuff from that ^^

well .. what i wanna say is that .. actually that kind of "how to start FAQs" is not needed (as the information on how to use pokesav is already in the front page of PP) , legal eggs FAQS, etc ... as you can learn it as you blend in this forum. and also every answer actually can be found in the forum , it's just in different thread or post

what the noobs have to do , use the search feature first before asking ^^

PP has wiki , why don't you search wiki first

if you want to know somthin, then you have to work hard , not just only word, but by action .. that's the fact ^^

coz' anyone will feel tired if the same question is asked over and over , you know

i'm saying this because i am still considered myself as a noob till now ^^ .. i still need to learn more in this hacking savedata and stuffs, hexing , etc

even noob, like me will sick of being asked if I were asked over and over when the information is already in the forum or stickied

i am sorry if my word seems kinda harsh .. but that's the fact ^^

Yes, i'm trying....

And belive me, I'm not angry with you... If you need someone to flame and win some attention, good for you my little boy.

Go to Search feature and write SID there, then came and say me what you found. If you don't like to reply for noobs, just don't reply, so ease no?

If you don't like to lose time with noobs, why you wrote it? And if i was doing something wrong asking, the mods could just erase my post....

Finally, thanks for the help and if you don't have anything to say me, please, do like the others and just don't say nothing in the tópic.

I don't know if you know but i'm not a hacker or a programmer, i'm just a commum person trying to use the pokesav as best as possible.

Returning, "Some info i just can't find." For example what is a SID and for what i need it - (I think I need it to do a wild shiny pokemon as this topic say, but when I find it where i will use this number, this isn't wrote in the faq), it don't make sense to me because in pokesav i don't use it, because this i'm asking.

sorry, misread your post a little .. i though you want a FAQs on how to use pokesav and the other basic things >_<

well ...

actually I love discussion .. but when i were asked for a " basic" thing in the middle of the conversation .. then .. i don't really like that xD ..

basically for this shiny pokemon ... you have to know a little knowledge about hex"ing" and hex/binary calculator ...

and you don't have to search for the SID .. in reversal, you can use your own ID and SID .. and start searching the IV combination (and PID offcourse) based on the calculation in the first page ^^ ...

what's written in the front page is not just "the way" ... there are many ways to make legal shiny by making an improvement from that concept ^^

and if you want to know what is SID/Secret ID ..

basically nintendo gives us 2 ID .. the one OT ID is viewable in game and the SID is hidden.. u can only check it using pokesav or AR .. the main function is to differentiate between u'r pokemon and the others ..

so basically .. if u'r pokemon has the same ID and SID as your OT's then .. the pokemon is yours and it will obey you even you only got 0 badge and leveled it up to 100 >_<

If you need someone to flame and win some attention, good for you my little boy.

hell no , why would i do that??

what's the point of winning some attention , it's nothing xD

and i'm not writing that to win some attention ... it's to encourage the member to use the search feature first before asking ^^ ...

if you get the wrong point in my writing above , then i'm really sorry for that ^^

I think I undestand now. To turn my wild Cresselia in a Cresselia shiny, I need to change my "SID" for one that match with her PID using this Faq. And Then i can check the shiny box of pokesav.

But i have a question, if i chage my SID to do it, all the pokemons who has her same PID number will need to be shiny too?

Because sometimes the IV's and Nature combination give for us the same number of PID.

My Rotom and Cresselia has the same nature and IV's, so i choose the same PID for Both. If i change my SID to a "Shiny SiD" using my Cresselia PID, my Rotom have to be shiny also because they have the same PID number?

^_^ wow, this is so cool.

And sorry about the misunderstanding.

YES I LEARNED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I foud a shiny Zubat in game and I did the Test:

I loved your Faq man.

Thanks Xeomyr and FLOOTENKERP

Now I know how do a Shiny Pokemon with Pokesav.

lucky I found a shiny Zubat to test.

Lol, thanks FLOOTENKERP for trying to re-establish my guide.

But just so all you know, there is no reason to do the math by hand now because of Jiggy-Ninja. His code gives you the exact same legal results :P Thanks Jiggy!

I made an AR code that does this exact same thing to any Pokemon you use it on, with no need for messy numbers.

Changes the Secret ID of the Pokemon you

use the code on to make that Pokemon Shiny.

Hold Start+Select and view the Pokemon's summary

It loads the PID, splits it into two halves, and XORs them together. Loads the ID, and XORs that with the previous number. Stores the resulting number in the SID part of the Pokemon. Viola, an automatic shiny.

XOR means "Exclusive OR", and it's what you're actually doing to the numbers. The addition thing is just an easy way to calculate it.

XOR compares two bits. The comparison results in 1 if and only if one of the bits is 1. If they are both 1 or both 0, it results in 0.

1 xor 1 = 0

1 xor 0 = 1

0 xor 1 = 1

0 xor 0 = 0

Whoa, cool. :D

Can this also be applied to legendaries without making them illegal?

Let's say I want to make a Pal Parked Suicune shiny using this method. So, if I use the code on it, the PID/IV will still correlate with the ID/SID, and whatever else?

And if I were to say, upload a file of this pokemon into pAC, would it turn out legit?

No, you still misunderstand. You're not changing your SID, you're changing the SID of the Pokemon you want to use it on.

The IDs of the OT are stored in the Pokemon's data and it's that information that determined whether the Pokemon is Shiny or not. Changing your SID will do nothing, since it won't change the SID the Pokemon uses to calculate whether or not it's shiny.

To change a Pokemon's SID, you either need to change it through Pokesav (meaning, you meed to rehack it), or use my AR code, which does all the math for you.

wow, that's great >_<

but i feel kind of bad of using AR code ..

i will stick with this hexing and mathematical method ^^

Some might call you foolish for making life harder on yourself than it needs to be. :P

Now who is misunderstand is you...

If I only change the SID of My Cresselia for one that has a relation with her PID to turn her Shiny, she will be shiny, but she "Will not be Mine". ;D

Because of this I need to Change both of, her SID to make her Shiny and my SID for Her SID and then she will be shiny and mine.

in fact , that's just a lie ^^ .. i use ARDS code a lot .. especially the code for fast hatching pokemon and stuffs ^^

i just want to have a 'legit' one and using my own ID for shiny pokemon .. so i will stick with catching the pokemon in-game using pokeradar shiny code .. ^^

maybe later i will use this hexing stuffs to produce my own "legal" shiny pokemon with my own ID ... ^^

I know it will take much time to find the PID and "IV"s that i want ...

but hell with that .. as long it's mine xD XD ...

00001591 is what I got, but where do I put it? Under the Secret ID?

your SID seems unnatural for me =_+ ....

a lot of 00 and stuff xD , you should delete all of the "0" and only put 1591 in SID ...

FYI , SID and OT ID only consist of 5 numbers ... no more than that ^^

so the appropriate writing for your SID is 01591 :)

Interesting information, tho I do hope people in 2022 know that.

Still, why you quoting a 2009 post?
