Alpha Posted June 27, 2010 Share Posted June 27, 2010 Storyline: Based on the manga, Pokemon Adventures (Pokemon Special). You are a trainer Red whose goal is to be the best. In that effort, you have to deal with an evil Team Rocket that wants to destroy you (and a lot of other people). Base: Both Heart Gold and Soul Silver (English only). Hack Description: This hack starts in Palette town and the plot progresses by chapters. Intentions are to go all the way through the RBG/Y/GSC Arcs (because that is all just Kanto and Johto). The hack uses modified sprites for the main characters. I have found that I am able to use up to 6 playable characters (Currently I have Red, Yellow, Gold, Crystal for those slots. Only Red's and Gold's sprites are done.). Most of the hack is script/text. I may do a map hack later. Tools in use: PPRE, Poketex, AlphaMap, and AlphaEnc. Guest Posted June 29, 2010 Share Posted June 29, 2010 You know what? This is the only rom hack I'll actually be playing. Every other rom hack just sightly edited the rom to make few things different. But this one completely changes the story! Is uses real regions from the real games, yet it still has a very different story since there was no way to start from Pallet Town and end with Johto before. RyukiVentus Posted May 21, 2011 Share Posted May 21, 2011 but actually I wanted to try to use Pika, Saur, Aero, Vui, Gyara, and Poli for a team it seems like it would be really fun and interesting.(though sometimes difficult) Also the 90% of the game talking is like telling the story of the Manga and it's a really good story.
