A Few Questions I'd Like Answered, Please.

So tomorrow I'm finally going out and getting my copy of SoulSilver.

1.) How great of a chance is it to get a female starter, or are they always male?

I don't want to be sitting there for hours resetting trying to get a female Chrikorita if it's impossible.

2.) What pokemon give attack EVs?

I ask this because I've bred a Poochyena to be specific to my needs (Wants?) on this game and would like to train her in attack. (I've already got a PowerBracer set)

These are both things I used to know, but I haven't researched in quite some time and have forgotten where to look. If you could help out, that would be great!

1. The chances for a female starter are 1 in 8 (12.5%) for all three.

2. Powerbracer gives EVs for Pokemon that don't even yield ATK EVs. Pokemon that do yield ATK EV's include: Bellsprout, Krabby, Goldeen, Sentret (Not Furret), Spinarak, Poochyena (Duh ), Shuppet, Shinx, and Snover and all of their evolutions, just to name a few.
