Learning how make it legal for the species to have a different ability other then the hidden one.

So, creating the pokemon from scratch using PKHeX. Why is it when I try to use a different ability other then the hidden ability it says "Hidden Ability missmatch for Encounter type." Is there a way to change the encounter type so for example I can have a Magmar with flame body

Almost as if there's restrictions on certain encounters that always come with hidden abilities...

@DarkRaptor well it depends on encounter. Upload the pk file you're trying to edit.

How would I change that encounter? Here's the Scyther I was having issues trying to get him the Ability Technician.

Pokemon transferred from VC games can only have Hidden Ability. That's your problem.

Yeah, as Kaphotics said, different encounters have different restrictions.
So be mindful of whether what you're using as a base can fulfill what you're trying to accomplish.
