Just a curious question about event flags...

Hi!! Sorry if this is in the wrong place, I've read a bunch of forum posts here but never written one ^___^;;

This is a totally random question...I was just checking out my Soulsilver file in PKHeX when I saw the event flags category. I was wondering what the check for "Trading functionality disabled" meant? I assumed maybe it was for when the Nintendo WFC shut down, but that doesn't seem to be the case since it isn't checked off on my file... was it intended for hackers who had been banned for trading illegal Pokemon?

Sorry for the completely random question, HGSS is my favourite game and I want to know everything there is to know about it! Thank you so much~

I think that this flag is checked in the early stages of game. In HGSS you can trade only after receiving Pokédex from Professor Oak at Mr. Pokémon's house, so before it you can't use trading functionality.

(I tried to start a new game and it's flagged)

@AlamosIT My reply is so late, but thank you so so much for the information! This is so interesting *___* I never noticed before that you couldn't trade prior to getting the Pokedex!
