Can someone reupload Pokesav for Pokemon Black (2) and White (2)

Recommended Posts

I want to change the trainer name in Pokemon Black 2 and I managed it by inserting a code using Action Replay DS. I got it working by editing a pre-existing code, but I got question-marks in the empty name-spaces, for example: Name??? I want to fix by generating a new code using Pokesav for Pokemon Black (2) and White (2). Unfortunately I can't find the program anywhere. Can someone help me out?

Pokegen and PKHeX are unable to edit the trainer itsel.

Also here are video's for reference:

Thanks in advance!

I want to change the trainer itself, not the OT name of a pokemon. I can't find in PKheX anywhere the option to edit a trainers name, gender etc. Where I can edit the trainers name and export the data in a ARDS code, so I can insert it into the game?

As in change the trainer class (overworld character sprite) to something else? There's no save editor for that.
It can only be done via RAM or ROM editing.

Or you referring to the name of the trainer (that is what the videos seem to indicate).
PKHeX can do that. You're just not doing it right :/

Thanks man! You're helping out  a lot! I have two issues though, the first one is that I can't seem to find Trainer Info, among other boxes, as shown in image I added. Secondly I need to export the name into a code so can inject it using my Action ReplayDSS into the game. I have already tried editing a pre-existing code and I got questionmarks in the trainers name in the empty spaces as a result. trainername.thumb.jpg.55efed0b3fdad95bd3c38a4eebed206f.jpgmissing.PNG.f2c0fbd71eea5e88b073fc1bfe37188b.PNG

Could you at least load your save file first?

PKHeX is a save editor.

After reading this, I'm starting to think that I've been thrown off by your statement about PKHeX, as well as believe that you are unable to extract your save.

PKHeX is a save editor, not a code generator. Don't know why you're looking at PKHeX at the first place, if you cannot obtain your save.

Anyway, the "???" can easily be resolved by editing the previous code you used.

Alternatively, if you're hard stuck on using Pokesav (to generate codes), it's on our site this whole time: https://projectpokemon.org/home/files/file/2066-pokésav/

When you type in the Trainer name, make sure you use the right arrow key to go all the way to the end of the textbox, and delete any spaces that may be hiding in plain sight behind the new Trainer name you typed in. Typically that steps resolves it.
(It happens with trainer names and nicknames of Pokemon. One of the many reasons why people dropped Pokesav)

I wanted to use PKHeX, because I was wondering if it could generate AR-codes, like Pokesav could. The Pokesavs you linked are gen 4 only. However if the trainername-code generated by Gen 4 Pokesav can be inserted in a Gen 5 pokemon game, then I guess my problem is solved. Also many thanks for the right-arrow trick and all of your help! I will try it and let you know the results.

Your OT is ROAN.

Taking endianess into account, it's the values in red below.

000367A8 FFFFFFFF
000367AC FFFFFFFF
D2000000 00000000

Presumably, the line of FFs are also part of the OT name. I'm kinda confused how the second attempt didn't work for you, because FFs are valid terminators.
Example:

In any case, try this:

000367A0 004F0052

For the name code to work, i have to press 'select' in the main menu of the game:

menut.thumb.jpg.32696a8dd1841a69f5b691302439b513.jpg

Ok I have found out what the problem is:

1st attempt:

94000130 FFFB0000
B2000024 00000000
000367A0 004F0052
000367A4 004E0041
000367A8 66665555
000367AC FFFF7777
D2000000 00000000

Leaves question marks at the end of the name.

2nd attempt:

I forgot the mention this attempt in the last post. My apologies.

94000130 FFFB0000
B2000024 00000000
000367A0 004F0052
000367A4 004E0041
D2000000 00000000

This code didn't work, the name is still ROAN???

3rd attempt:

94000130 FFFB0000
B2000024 00000000
000367A0 004F0052
000367A4 004E0041
000367A8 FFFFFFFF
000367AC FFFFFFFF
D2000000 00000000

This code didn't work, the name is still ROAN???

4 attempt:

94000130 FFFB0000
B2000024 00000000
000367A0 004F0052
000367A4 004E0041
000367A8 0000FFFF
000367AC 00000000
D2000000 00000000

The game freezes after pressing continue. I added an image of the freeze in this post. My guess is that the game simply refuses the process the zero's as valid terminators.473856903_4thtime.thumb.jpg.75de362a1674ce29f11584ab214626ff.jpg

5th attempt:

I'm going to try out a test-name, called NATE, in order to see if the game simply refuses to change the name a second time.

94000130 FFFB0000
B2000024 00000000
000367A0 0041004E
000367A4 00450054
000367A8 FFFFFFFF
000367AC FFFFFFFF
D2000000 00000000

This code should give me the name "NATE". However, after trying out this code, the name is still ROAN???

1. I believe you have to be in-game (past the continue screen) to activate the codes
2. Did you activate the code with the correct button combinations?

1. You are right! I pressed select while in-game to get the code to work from the 3rd attempt to work and it did! Many thanks!

2. 'Select' is the right button.

Thanks for your time and your help. I learned a lot from this experience and I hope you did too!
