Pre starter selection 2. Right after first battle (Shauna) 3. After Mom give's Town Map (heard there's a glitch here too) If the game continues to freeze after this, it'll probably be impossible for us to keep progressing the game and provide saves.. Citra has a compatibility list now in which Pokemon XY are listed as "Bad" ("Game functions, but with major graphical or audio glitches. Unable to progress in specific areas due to glitches even with workarounds."). So I'd say it's a bad idea trying to play through the games on Citra as you might encounter freezes everywhere.
