Move tutors, faster everything (text, walking/running/bike, surf), more and extended plot, extended Sinnoh dex, Kanto and Hoenn legendary trio, Battle Frontier, and just a ridiculous amount of stuff. You can download the Wondercard whenever, and you can receive the item as soon as you can get to any Pokemart in the game. But you'll need the national dex before you can go to see Shaymin.
