You need to unzip "PKHeX.7z" file first.

I recommend you use Keka to unzip the .7z file.

Just wanted to say thanks for the constant updates, its really appreciated and has kept me playing Pokemon Moon way way way past what i would have without PkHex!

Hi @Philbo! I appreciate the feedback.

It has been a pleasure keeping PKHeX for Mac thread updated for you all.  C'est simple!

Overall, this thread wouldn’t exist without Kaphotics’ PKHeX.
Thanks to @Kaphotics and the many people recognized in various “release notes”!

Edit: Also I'm running the same macOS.  I cannot replicate the issue.

Oh, you have Wine on your Mac?  It seems that way.  So all you really got to do to use PKHeX is download the EXE and run it, instead of getting the APP from this thread. :D

Also, you can install additional Winetricks to take care of that font issues and for GUI improvements, if you like.

Thank you so much :x problem fixed now

I have a problem with Pkhex. I recently updated my Mac from Sierra to High Sierra and Pkhex app won't open. I tried to redownload app... but weird enough that I click exe and it popped open but it looks like it is in window looking like this screenshot that I just took. I really prefer Mac looking. I have the pikachu oringal hat in my game party but it popped as regular pikachu with the nickname in party box... Can you please help me with this issue? Thank you so much.

From the Wine drop down menu: Configuration -> Desktop Integration -> Install Theme
Use a .msstyles file type. (you can find some OS X themes online)  Select apply! Open PKHeX again.  That should work.

Thank you for pointing that out! I typically run PKHeX with Wine instead of using the wrapper in the OP.  I discovered that PKHeX.app isn't compatible with macOS 10.3.

As soon as I get the wrapper sorted out, I'll update the OP with new links.  That is, if it will be compatible.
