Are you able to save in the demo?
If not, the only way to extract them would probably be a RAM dump, and I don't know of any public methods so far..

Well the button is there but you can't use it.

Before thinking of RAM dump maybe with walk through wall cheat codes we can force it?

If someone can download both for studies, even later, it'll be great too.

My Switch isn't updated to 7.0.0, so I won't be able to DL it from the eShop until a safe CFW update that works with 7.0.0

I'm waiting for a safe hacking method that works with the last version too in order to upload the underleved I collected so I guess all we have to do is to wait until better days.

But I don't think the demo will stay online forever that's why I request to download it before it's too late.

At least they downloaded it and gave us access to it not like XY demo.

Great news everyone there is a project about Pokemon green prototype "recreation".

However this is just a ROM-hack (base on assets dumped from the ROM according to @theSLAYER) so beware.

Having the real prototype ROM would have been much more interesting however I won't complain about people working on it.

To be precise, I was just summarizing the info helix chamber mentioned.
They found a donor who originally wanted to provide their group with the prototype,
and they asked for dumped assets as proof. They got maps and sprites (tho the front sprites for the proto-mons were missing, even though the back sprites were included)
Eventually they stopped receiving a reply regarding it, so they decided to move ahead and create a rom hack with all the dumped assets they've gotten.

I would link to their site, but there could be a ROM lurking somewhere on their site (or eventually they'll upload one),
so I'm not gonna link it here. (If need be, I could provide screenshots, tho)

Such a missed opportunity. I noticed many interesting things in the few datas published, will list them later (Marowak-Kangaskhan theory was right wrong for example, some Pokemon at some weird locations ...).

A German demo of Pokemon Silver was released a few days ago, but it's not too interesting. It has the exact same start as the final and blocks you off before you get to Violet City.

What is nice is that you can save in the demo...but it always locks the Continue option off so save states and walk through walls are the only way to progress. At least the save file loads in PKHeX with no issues for extraction. I guess you COULD try to get stuff in the demo, but it wouldn't count for much.

Will try my best, sorry I mostly focus on Go underleved for the moment but I mostly got them all (except very rare ones and egg exclusives).

So thanks to @theSLAYER I was able to correctly import Shadow Loudred however when I tried to purify it it lost all its move and the same occured for the shadow Carvanha found in the same box.

Our theory is that there must be a shadow list somewhere in the ROM that gives the moves to the shadow Pokemon.

Finding that list can teach us how does it work in XD and maybe finally find the original attacks of that Shadow Loudred and Carvanha (if they exist in that final list or if we find a beta list somewhere else; note that we could find other beta/cut shadow pokemon in the process).

Any idea or any XD specialist?

Found twelve more Pokemon in the Japanese Diamond debug.

Two options in one of the debug menus place six predetermined Pokemon in Pal Park to capture. Each have a PID of all zeros with a Hardy Nature, IVs and EVs are all zeros, and the OT name is blanked out which errors out the game if they are viewed at all. ID and Secret ID may be random but I didn't test much on that.

Anyways, here they are:

I tested SwSh demo recently in Japan Expo and noticed very interesting things,

the fact that the Pokemon came from Route 1 first meaning they didn't want to reveal the start place or it's the place you receive your starter,

the Fairy Dynamax that puts the Misty Terrain,

the date put into the pokemon 1st June 2019 is very interesting too as it's surely the build date,

apart that I have mixed feelings about it, lots of lags, cheap supporters, not very convincing water effects, awesome music,

about the dynamax mechanic the strategy will be to temporize it with Detect, Protect or any bulky Pokemon,

I easily beat the gym leader like that,

hope they'll release the demo in the E-shop later in order to study it.

In terms of investigations I noticed this mention in TCRF:

"Pokémon: Let's Go! Pikachu & Let's Go! Eevee has unused data for held items and double wild battles."

but also

The Pokémon Stadium games have more debug features, or at least debug leftovers.

 

Plus, I'll focus soon about XD shadow moves list but I want to investigate about the unused Dragonite (based upon its catch rate change) in Yellow and the Unused Pokémon Flight in Gold/Silver.

I found another Pokemon in the Japanese Diamond Debug...but it's impossible to acquire without some memory extraction.

There's an option in one of the debug menus that tests the deliveryman for events which just so happens to place him in the marts with every event item available, including the unreleased Azure Flute...plus some sort of Pokemon. You must have an extra slot in your party to acquire it, but once you do so the game crashes. Not even pressing the combination to bypass these sort of crashes works and leaves you stuck at the screen, forcing a reset to before you acquired it.

I have no idea what delivered Pokemon is behind that crash, but I can't get it.

edit: I used the deliveryman option, and nothing happened.

edit: Took me a while to find it. It was field debug (overworld R+X buttons) > Ono (IIRC option is all the way at the bottom) > Delivery debug (second option from top).

In any case, here's a save with the mons right before they're collected.
When collected on a final DP game, what is received is a 2x Bad Eggs and 1 Manaphy egg.)

Based on my tests, the corrupted eggs are the reason why debug DP crashes.
When I remove those 2 wonder cards, the Manaphy egg that followed right after was able to be redeemed.

Here's a save from before the 3x eggs were collected. The debug wondercards can also be seen using PKHeX.

I think the bad eggs issue is the same as the German Ruby Debug version.

We have to find the correct PID in order to make them work.

I have no idea on how to do it however as I didn't resolve the first issue.

 

Edit: MysteryGiftEditor gives me a Zubat but with a lot of datas missing.

The first thing I did last night, was to change the options and see what data was possible (like how decchi's Azure Card could distribute Pokémon when gift type was changed)

Presently, I would be more inclined to believe that it was a real Pokémon gift, if the file had any semblance of Pokémon data.
It has messed up moves, messed up OT, and messed up TID/SID assigned to it. Every other field looks like junk data.
Frankly, I think the species data is also just junk data; the MysteryGiftEditor shows it's Zubat cause the junk data in that offset happens to coincide with a possible species ID.

Our situation is unlike the bad eggs obtained from Debug Ruby version, where the game actually gave you a pk3. pk3's in the save are actually encrypted.
Without the correct PID to decrypt it, the game would see it as a bad egg.

However, AFAIK pcd/pgt are not encrypted, so your "solution" does not apply here.
I believe that the reason we receive bad eggs, is because the pgt data is junk, and the bad eggs were merely following the structure dictated in the pgt.

I think the pgts are still worth archiving, just that I am not sure we can do anything more with them :/

I learned today that a proto-Pokemon Colosseum was planned for Nintendo 64DD in 1999 developped by GF itself called Pocket Monsters RPG.

It was probably scrapped not only because of Masuda opinions about the franchise that should stay portable but also probably because of GS delay.

I first thought it was about Pokemon Stadium but apparently Miyamoto stated they were 3 64 games planned during an interview (which I really want to find now).

 

Edit: Found something( original and translated ) and it's way more interesting than all I was expecting!

Edit 2: According to IGN Stadium was planned to have a 64DD update, probably the difference betwen the first Japanese release and the International one?

I come back for two news I recently got:

-first the discovery of a new debug mode for Stadium 2 which includes a Pokemon editor with a legality check. The Odd Egg events failed. It could be interesting to see if it's the case for other gen2 event pokemon or even find the legality list somewhere in the ROM.

-second I recently learned that in European FireRed manual guide there is a picture of a Charmander not from Pallet Town (probably used by the debuggers). Can anyone scan it here please?
