PKHeX Legacy Discussion

I agree. I'm subscribed to the thread to see the information related to PKHeX and Gen VI save editing. It's tiring scanning through loads posts of minor questions, most being answered many times, just to find the important stuff. People treat it like Hacking General.

It shows that there is a lot of interest in Gen VI save editing though. Its kind of nice to check the thread and see that so many people really want to see results. I do agree that people are posting too many basic questions though, only things related to PKHex and gen 6 editing in general should be here.

That's one of those situations where cheating is more like punching yourself in the face. Just do it in-game like you should... especially if you were going to use the DNA Splicers in the first place.

(Also, that should have been obvious, since to get the White/Black forms requires actually combining two different Pokemon (files), to un-fuse them would take... two Pokemon (files). It can't just magically make them out of nothing.

Just something I'd like to post as someone else might be interested in that information aswell, just like I was a while ago.

It bugged me for a while that Xerneas is the only pokemon with different forms for which neither Powersaves nor PKHeX offer an option to change through save editing.

Finally I had some time to play with my savefiles, so I hexedited a little to get an active Xerneas outside of a battle.

Point is, Xerneas active mode works different from all other form changes; My hacked one indeed has the active-mode-mini-icon (basically proving my hexediting did what it was supposed to do), however, the big sprite still shows Xerneas in passive form. That probably is the issue, as people would think their save editor was flawed if they tried that out.

12/8/14 - New Update:

- Added: Unicode Gender text toggle in Options.

- Fixed: Shiny Star will now appear in boxes.

- Fixed: Gendered formes will now appear properly in boxes.

- Fixed: verifychecksum input length error when past gen pkm were imported.

- Fixed: Bad egg setting via first slot drag (very uncommon, thanks Slashmolder for finding this!)

- Improved: Bad egg detection for zeroed data in actual saves.

- Changed: Secret Base Flag read offset to use the PSS stat 0x140 one, should be correct. Previous offset was the flag counter on QR code creation.

- Added: Shortcuts text for all the ease-of-use tricks you can do to speed up use of the program; access via the About window.

- Fixed: Kyurem/Aegislash stats (thanks Pkmnninja!)

- Added: PSS Sprite changing (thanks SciresM for implementing!)

- Changed: Diancie sprite now uses the ORAS version.

- Added: Chinese translation.

- Fixed: Full Pokedex code causing CyberGadget to corrupt saves.

- Fixed: Corruption Alert will now appear for ORAS saves, you can ignore it if you are using SaveDataFiler.

To auto-load with the Chinese translation, rename the exe "PKHeX-zh.exe"; as a reminder this works for other languages.

Problem with the latest revision being blocked by "Smart Scan" on Windows 8. Probably thinking it's a virus. I'm sure it's a false positive.

Doesn't matter that much though. Still runnable.

Thanks for adding dual instance drag and drop capabilities by the way.

I forgot to backup my save before I use full pokedex code, is there any chance to recover my save if I overwrite using the fixed code?

Sorry for asking that, I can't test right now.

Thank you for your good work.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but Gateway's website is saying that support for firmware 9.0-9.2 is coming soon. Wouldn't that mean that you could use PKHeX with one of these new flashcarts?

http://www.gateway-3ds.com/

Gateway 3DS users already can use PKhex. (also mentioned in first post I believe)

(by backing up a decrypted save using savedatafiler)

It is unknown at this point if savedatafiler will be able to decrypt saves on GW 9.X,

and also unknown such method will work for retail cart users. (I added the second point just in case).

Only future can tell.

Probably just need a 4.5 3DS instead. PKHeX will only allow editing on such firmware. If you have a Gateway or MT cart though

Yep you got it. My DS is at the newest firmware and from what I read it looks like the newest flashcard (which says it supports up to 9.2) would allow me to inject Pokemon.

They intend to support, and video appears to show it working,

But im reality They haven't released it.

And so, we don't know it savedatafiler will be able to decrypt the

it.

I will Like to believe so, But Let's not speculate until It's Actually out.

If tl:Dr; issue is not pkhex, its gateway.

Will only know when It's out.
