SDSME- BW2: Location of map for~ any~ hidden grotto area?

Recommended Posts

Hello!

Quick question: Can anyone tell me which map file (BW2) contains a hidden grotto area?

Thanks!

EDIT: Sorry, very late here. Realized I should have been more specific.

Looking for the model to export a hidden grotto area to a .obj and edit it, import back in, etc.

Hm...

Just to be clear, we're speaking of the lua script zdXow, correct?

I assumed that you could find the "map" for each area there, and one piece of data that I guessed to be the "map location" was different from the models for areas in SDSME. they didn't match up.

I don't have desmume on this com, but I do still have the editor.

Here's how I found Hidden Grotto.

1. Loaded the Map Header. Found Hidden Grotto at No. 518. It shows at Matrix 314, and Texture 262

2. Went to Matrix Editor, opened Matrix 314, it shows value for Map 0717

3. Went to Map Editor, loaded Map 0717 and Texture 262.

For future reference, you can use the method as described above.

If curious, you can go to here: http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?31386-Pokemon-White-2-Route-10-re-introduced! to see that I re-added Route 10 to W2,

and you can go here: http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?31767-SDSME-Map-Editing-Tutorial&p=171919&viewfull=1#post171919 to see a pictorial I created to help people.

Cheers.

That's amazing, thank you oh-so very much!

And that route 10 in W2 looks epic, I only wonder why Nintendo left it in the game data...

they left the map data in-game,

but untagged it from "map headers" portion,

so if you normally used "walk through walls", north of opelucid is empty forest.

So I retagged the map-headers, re-added a gate (a fake gate data entry) and some encounters.

So because my of trials and errors,

I discovered how to search for maps, like how I did above! :)

Would like to see if you ever decide to try to continue the hack, and add the badge gates. :P

(I see you mentioned that in your thread)

Hahah that was a long time ago.

I've tried adding back it all back, starting with the slope at Victory road,

but the map sizes changed so I couldn't return it to it's former glory.

I considered building a warp, but in the end I just gave up -.-

EdIT:

Anyway I'm curious, what did you want to do with Hidden Grotto?

(Answering back),

Yes, I used the Lua script .

After doing a lot of exporting, importing, and editing, I've noticed that some map files have 2 columns: a column for Texture 1 and and column for texture 2. Non of these numbers match up to a legitimate texture though.

And should I find which texture to use when there's 2 texture columns?
