Datel PowerSaves 3DS works with both X and Y!! You can backup and restore your save file!

My Powersaves 3DS arrived today but unfortunately it doesn't work with my X cartridge. I insert my cartridge and it tries to download the information required on my game but then comes back to the "Insert your cartridge" screen and goes on and on like this. Kinda feel like I've wasted my money...

EDIT: I've fixed the problem, now I have my powersaves 3DS working and I have my sav files. If you want I can upload them.

How were you able to fix the Pokemon X problem?

Can you backup saves to your PC with this? Does it work with older games like BW/BW2 as well or just 3ds games? I'd like to be able to backup and change save files for BW/BW2 if its possible.

Only 3DS games.

To be able to backup DS games, kindly head over the the article in our forum that will teach you how. (simply search)

EDIT: Here it is: http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?16601-NDS-How-to-Backup-Restore-your-retail-cartridge-save-file-for-DS-games

I use a Japanese 3DS, but I selected Spanish language in my Pokemon X :(

1. clean your cartridge contacts properly.

2. allow it to dry (or else your powersaves might burn. cartridge safety not included)

3. give it a try.

If it still doesn't, you have the following options:

If you only have Japanese games:

Inform Datel to switch region to japanese

If you have both Japanese and US games:

E-mail Datel and ask them if you can have multi-region with Jap and US.

I highly recommend that you send them a picture with your license key, JAP and US cartridge in the SAME PICTURE

(to prove it's yours, not ripped off the internet)

and see if they make an allowance to give you double region.

Make sure your e-mail and license code is keyed into the programme correctly, before you try anything!

Thank you so much The Slayer!! I send an e-mail and now they asked me that if all my games are japanese, and I asked yes, so today or tomorrow I think the'll send me other key :D

Well there's a chance they'll update your key without emailing (as read here),

so just open the program, add back the dashes, close it and open again and see if it works :)

I don't understand that, sorry, I'm from Spain, can you explain me like if I am stupid? Hahhahahahahaha, what do you mean when you say "add back the dashes"? :)

Okay I wasn't specific enough.

You know how your code is like example, 4125462149512580113A27 when you open up the page that shows your e-mail and license key?

Simply add back the "-", example:

4125-4621-4951-2580-113A-27

then you close program again.

Then open and try to use your game :)

(btw to prying eyes, it's a fake license key; I made it up )

Hope they have codes to rebattle trainers, changing trainer I.D. and leaks to accessing those unknown in game events like heatmor or that ghost lady
I hope so to did u get a action replay for yourself

Travenater is on it

That's asking quite a lot at the moment. It's not impossible, but the easiest thing to do at the moment is manipulating items and pokemon.

Also still no word back from Datel.. feels bad.

I don't know for sure, but on the Datel website the "User Guide" linked to for the Pro version is exactly the same as for the non-pro version. Would guess there's little (if any) difference, and that the non-pro version does what most people will want this device for.

Has anyone tried to erase their save after they backed it up and then start the game over? I want to re-catch Yveltal and send it to pokebank and then restore to my original save if this is possible. I'm too much of a pussy to try it though. :/

I'm pretty sure theSlayer tried it and he said it works. Best ask him though.
