But I don't recall the episode that ever revealed what it actually was. I assume GS stands for gold and silver but does anyone know of the episode that they talked about it? randomspot555 Posted May 26, 2009 Share Posted May 26, 2009 A Pokebeach web site member interviewed the guy who was the animation director for most of the last 10 years (currently a storyboard artist) and he admitted to what we all believed to be true: GS Ball was supposed to contain Celebi, but then Celebi was kept for a movie, so the GS Ball basically became an empty plot device to get Ash to Johto.
