v 1.71 update did not work

the bar was fully loaded, all green, and it got to the final step, it asked me if i was sure, i clicked yes, and after a few minutes it came up protocol error and the thing froze, had to switch off, tried again, got to the same point, protocol error.

uninstall the ards completely.....then reInstall make standart update then pick the correct update file and pull it over to where normaly your DS AR codelist is and "drop" it then the update should work.....or buy an ARDSi!

Take out whatever is in your gba slot (on the bottom) and try again. It should work.

Normaly it should....because it is downgradeable but you devintively can not use an AR DS on a DSi or DSi XL !
