About This File

This page contains all publicly available savefiles that were dumped from original FireRed carts, which were used to distribute MYSTRY Mew by direct trade. The distribution took place at Toys R Us stores in the United States on 30 November 2006, for only three hours from 12 - 3 pm.

Each savefile is credited to who supplied it online. The recently acquired savefile that provided the missing remainder of the boxed 420 Mews is credited to PP.org, for appreciation to the group effort of those that helped obtain and pay for it.

The 426 individual .pk3 files can be found here.

Can MYSTRY Mew be claimed on a FireRed cartridge? I'm seeing almost all Mews in the save file came from Ruby. I'm doing a Living Dex and I need a Mew from Kanto Region. But when I change the game when it came from, it says it doesn't have an event like that in FR.

MYSTRY Mew is a trade event, meaning you can't change the origin game, as they're all already preset to Ruby.

So the Mew Distributor has a Ruby game and trades it to event goers?

No. The FireRed (as attached) was the distribution cart.
Or one of the carts with a bunch of cloned saves (cloned by Ninty/GameFreak)

Thing is, they generated the Mew's with the origin game, even though it was distributed via FireRed.

Regardless, it was traded away to other players via a FireRed cart, and the Mew was preset to Ruby as origin game.

Oh I see. Now I'm enlightened. Thanks for the knowledge! Have a nice day!
