So I just found out I have this Celebi instead of the TID 101500 one. I have a North American 3DS (Canada), the Celebi from the code Nintendo sent me had this TID when I redeemed in my Sun version last year. A bit strange, had no idea there were 2 different Celebi.

Maybe you gotten the code early? Or you have CFW and had region changing on by accident?

Yeah, it's weird they had 2 Celebis for different regions. I think the TID stands for the premier date for Gen 2 anime in that region, hence why they changed the TID. (and hence why we split the listings for the distributions into 2)

I got the Email code from Sept 22, 2017 when it was released, redeemed it last July. I did not use a modded 3DS for this. The TID is for when G/S was launched.  October 15, 2000 for NA and April 6, 2001 for EU

ah right for when GS is launched, I forgot about that. That explains the differences in TIDs (dates).

Still it is weird that you got the wrong one for your device. Pretty sure the distributions didn't get swapped (I think I would have noticed that). I could dig back and check the older threads; maybe I simply forgot about it.

Could just be me only who received a different code. Don't know if it means much but the code was A7282C3QL7D5GAH6

That's definitely the US code (list of prefixes). Hmmm.. Probably need to track back if I recorded/mentioned the code was temporarily giving the wrong Celebi. I know that a different Celebi was uploaded for a while, but for different issues.

(It was the Japanese one, and I listed the issue on it's page)

@Sabresite any comments?

@Rayquaza911 to be certain, take a photograph of the system settings screen (with the fw version) and upload the image

(also @Sabresite, I’ll like to think the NA/US code is locked to only US devices)

Yeah I am thinking the same thing, unless they share prefixes with both NA/EU (but I actually have never seen that before).

the NA and EU prefixes were supposedly not shared.

Also, one would think that we would have heard about the cross-region mix-up sooner..

Maybe it was an issue for only one specific game and specific language (like the ash hat pikachu issue we had recently).
Probably time to go back and check the files dating back then..

edit: From what I can see, all the 0630 Celebi (from the server) from the US region (of various languages) had the correct TIDs across versions.

I'm probably gonna wait for the @Rayquaza911's system setting image, as well as the .pk7 for the Celebi before I jump out and make any conclusions.
