i think name should be in japanese

The name Kapu Kokeko is already there in the Wonder Card Title.

We're using the English name as we're an English speaking forum.

I know the country is Japan. Anyone know the sub region?

The sub region can be left blank.
PKHeX filters the sub region to all valid entries, when Country is selected correctly.

The name is english because your save file is english.
This Tapu Koko isn't nicknamed, so like any other mystery gift it's name follow the save game language.

This isn't a new issue.
PKHeX retroactively adds the event support after event release.

So there is no need to panic.

I think, that's how we are supposed to edit this event on PkHex

I'd like to have confirmation

Under OT > Memories > Residence,
there is apparently no need to add the details into that, as it appears that Gen 7 doesn't write in Residence.

(I think the only time it does is from VC > Transporter > Gen  7)

PSA:

A Japanese catridge of S&M on wich the default language selected was English will produce a Shiny Tapu Koko with it's name on English characters instead of the more expected カプ・コケコ (Tapu・Kokeko) and it will also change it's region, meaning that some people will have a Shiny Koko with it's name on English and there will be no "JPN" on the top right corner of the top screen indicating it's from Japan because even though the cartridge it's technically Japanese the person made it so the Koko is "ENG" instead of "JPN".

Just wanted to clear this up for anyone that thinks a Koko they have is either hacked (for those who don't gen) or wronglly made in PKHex (for us that don't mind).

For those who wonder why the TID is allegedly different, hover your mouse over PKHeX and wait for the POP-up. It's NOT different.
Capture.PNG
(like seriously, have you never noticed TID goes up to 6 digits this generation?)

Read this to understand why it appears to be different:
http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Trainer_ID_number#Generation_VII

Also, to add on to @Fahrenweiss's point,
It basically means while the event is Region Locked, it is not language lock.
(remember, you can play on any language in Pokemon.)

Also, this wonder card is the actual copy I personally ripped out straight from the server.
So if it ends up not legal, it's the users who doing stuff wrong.

@theSLAYER Is it safe to assume that a non Japanese copy of the game would reject the code yet a Japanese copy with it's language set to English still gets the code... I mean what logic is that... Wouldn't the language change the region to "ENG" even IF the phisical cartridge is Japanese... but inside it's technically the same as a copy from North America or Europe (English)... I dunno what Nintendo was thinking... Am I right in this or am I missing something here?

Don't confuse region and language.

Remember, you can start the game in any language.
1478515908575.jpg

The ENG, FRE, GER, ITA, SPA, KOR, JPN, CHS, CHT that one can see in the Summary screen are language tags,
that appear when a Pokemon is in a game save of a different language, independent from 3DS region.

Region is something you normally see in the system settings of your 3DS.
Example:
i5xOwUPei+AAAAAElFTkSuQmCCAA== The U means you own a US 3DS.

9IV88785BxhbFENH7QAAAABJRU5ErkJgggA= The E at the end means you own a EU 3DS.

IXLLFkbqmwbqmwbqiwbqiwb57C+wjTDuiks6yosd The J means you're using a JP 3DS. Only a 3DS of this region can receive this Tapu Koko legitimately.

So once again, going back to your original example:
<this table doesn't cover all possibilites, but remember only JP 3DS is legal>

@theSLAYER Just to clear one last confusion I wanna know why the file provided by you/the MG database from PKHex all have the country and sub region for the Koko listed as United States/California. Because once you get the whole region thing we've been talking about one last thing remains in my mind...

3DS Region: Japan + Game Save Language: English = English named/ENG icon for the Koko buuut the region is still Japan like you said sooo was that a mistake? Because why say USA/California shouldn't it say: Tapu Koko (English name)---ENG icon---Country: Japan---Sub region: Tokyo (for example) for the file to be 100% legit as possible? Also it's not possible to get a 6 IV event mon right? Only a 3 IV one? I ask this so the mon even if made in PKHex looks as legit as humaly possible. :)

Region information isn't stored on the wonder card itself, so PKHeX won't be able to auto correct the information.
You'll have to change it manually on the pk6.

The wonder card forces a minimum of 3 perfect IVs.

Where can I get the USA Koko? The description of this file says Japan only.

You're presently in the "Japanese" category.

If you want a card for US Koko, go to "English", "French" or "Spanish"

Hi all,

I'm wondering why the .wc7full isn't available for this event. Also, when the current file is used, I seem to get the dreaded "There's something wrong with your Pokemon..." message when I try to Link Trade. Anyone else getting this?

At the time I uploaded this, I think wc7full support wasn't implemented for PKHeX yet. I just uploaded it.

Not the file's problem.

1. Is the region and country details set to JP?
2. Is the origin game Sun/Moon?

Oh! Duh. Totally my fault. I completely overlooked the origin game drop-down. This was pre-USUM. Thanks theSlayer!
