  1. Hello RNG'ers! Today, I have prepared a save file for those looking to RNG Japanese Emerald's Mew for me. It is a copy of the HaxAras ticket save, but with both ID numbers changed to a special set that makes the only timid 6iv flawless method 1 spread shiny after 176+ million frames. (Refer to my earlier posts and threads for my desired hex PID of 7942EF72, with TID 60510, and 31337.) Anyways, this save file is ready to catch mew when using frameskip 9/10, turbo mode, 1000%, and vblank patching (all from reddit and bond697) to speed the game up to the only flawless frame at 176,000,000+ frames, which, instead of 817 hours or 5 weeks, would, after skipping frames this way, would only take 23-24 hours to hit the frame on a fast PC. This allows Mew to be obtained. If HaxAras's save is unwanted due to cheating, just use Glitzer popping on InsaneNutter's Used Emerald Cart save to change both ID numbers before getting Mew if you abhor cheats. You can trade the Mew to an English RS with Pandora's box TID/NAME/SID/Gender manipulation to trick the name rater into allowing a legit 10 letter english Name before pal-parking without save flashing. Before I forget, on VBA-rr, audio must be off, and the frame counter script for JP Emerald must run, while in addition, the GBA bios is needed for timing accuracy and legitimacy purposes. The desired frame to jump to is frame 176,562,489, which has this PID. You can refer to my first and second threads for the info on these facts, and you can get more info from HaxAras, Ammako, BlackNight(???), suloko, SciresM (possibly), the_Slayer, trigger_death (for GBA RNG info,), and my theories/observations in the connected posts. r/pokemonrng on reddit may help. My earlier wish for an RNG'd 3GPKM is renewed, due to the info found on reddit which, with the battle video method, significantly makes this more doable on console after using an emulator to store the frame counter in the battle video using that namesake glitch on reddit, which allows you to hit the frame on console after save flashing to a JP emerald. This allows shiny 6iv flawless "event ID" method 1 pokemon to be legitimately caught on console with assistance from a wii with fix94's save dumper tool. With school, I have little chance or explanation to waste 24 hours waiting for mew on rng, so I leave the process of procuring shiny event legends with longer names to those in need. Interestingly enough, the Hadou mew can be made using these 2 id numbers into a fan event, which is nicknamed to 10 letters, because the word "Hadou" is 5 characters or less in Romaji and Japanese. This means a hybrid JP event mew is makeable by RNG users due to GEN 3 oversights. Have fun RNGing!
  2. collector's save

making a request for those who like challenges. i looked all over the website and could not find anything on it. if it is located somewhere here please direct me to it and i will delete the post, or vice versa if you are an admin. so lets get to the point. what i am looking for is a main file (save) for all of the games. more specifically with all the Pokemon caught in each game. the game doesn't have to be passed or anything. but what i am looking for is for all of the Pokemon to be gened or caught to be originally from that game. for example say i have a copy of Pokemon moon. for me to have a complete Dex i would need some Pokemon to be traded but if they are traded then i am no the original trainer. so in order for me to become that trainer i have to breed the Pokemon. so now the Pokemon originates from the game sun. or if the Pokemon is catch able, then the met info has to be correct, such as the correct poke ball since not all can be caught with a poke ball, but using a master ball is an obvious sign of cheating (i mean a master ball on every single if not most Pokemon). i know not all Pokemon are catch able in the game and some that cant be breaded, and those are the only exception (such as events and legendary). what i am also requesting is for the Pokemon to be mirrors of smogon since the attacks and stats where obviously thought out to take advantage of that Pokemon. there doesn't need to be every single Pokemon in the box, just the final version of the evolution. this is a massive task that i have tried to achieve but i keep getting frustrated and somehow manage to loose the files so i have to restart the files. I basically want the save to look legitimate even though its hacked. this set is merely for nostalgia purposes and will be mostly kept for personal use since the game will never see online it doesnt have to be for all of the games, but it would be nice to have it at least for one game for every generation ps. it doest matter that the Pokemon are shiny or not for those willing to take on the challenge, thank you and good luck to you
  3. Hello readers! About a year ago I found on an archived Geocities Page linked via a strange Pokemon forum a zip file which contained a readme, and a strange binary file called colbtl.bin that is to be used to replace Pokemon Colosseum NTSC-U's copy with a program, that instead of GBA trading over the link cable, flashes any region of RS with a self-contained save file that is expanded. The gba displays info with a splash screen, while the Gamecube appears to fail the trade. I have painstakingly dumped this save file via FIX94's tool. You need to extract this zip file, grab colbtl.bin, put it into a Legit US (or possibly British/Aussie) Colosseum ISO (using GCISOTOOL, GCISOREBUILDER, or GCMTool, maybe wiiscrubber), and replace the file. You also need a way of loading the iso, so either PSO, XenoGC, Wode Jukebox, Swiss, Nintendont, Devolution, Wiikey/Wasp Fusion, QOOB, or other loaders/chips. No actual Nintendo rom code is in the zip file, all of it was freely given as public domain by an ancient hacking group. I suspect FIX94's PokeLoad Gamecube HB exploit for Colosseum and GoD, would be able to allow a talented GC hacker to make some sort of .dol executable on a memcard, that has Ralf@gc-forever's Colosseum Codes for enabling, farming, and Swapping the Ageto Celebi Event out for a selection of events, or allow them to hex it in, along with patching and loading colbtl.bin from the card's dol to trick Colosseum into flashing duplicate saves. There is no current way to set the save file in the colbtl.bin file. Hopefully some data can be found so that the data can be swapped like how Decchi.bin has swappable wondercards. Here is the zip, which also has my personal save file. That one has the word current in the filename.
  4. Save Opening Issue

Hi everyone ! Thank you so much for the effort you've done for turning PKHeX to that awesome tool it is now ! I want to report a bug (But it's most likely my fault though). I've tried to remove the ribbons of my Zapdog/Latios, it seemed to have worked succesfully, but when I imported the save back the save was corrupted. And I can't edit it with PKHeX either. (I use the latest version). From what I know from programming course, it seems like it can't open the file for whatever reason. I've tried to move the file to another folder than the SD Card, no help, same error. I haven't thought of making any backup since a long time (The edit thing was a success a lot of times to edit stats/moves so I didn't care anymore), but I've activated the backup feature of PKHeX so maybe if my save is forever screwed I can move to that. Thanks in advance if you can help me out ! Here's the following error : Exception Details: System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: Index was out of range. 5. Hello Researchers! Today I have discovered an exploit for Generation 3 that affects Pokemon Legality for RNG. The exploit can be done in 2 ways. One way is to take a save file with Japanese/Localized dual compatible names and nicknames from a Japanese Gen 3 game, flash it to an English cart, and then take any already-nicknamed Pokemon (pre-naming fixes a bug with bank compatibility for Japanese-exclusive Pokemon like mew) to the name rater to enjoy longer English names when kept on that same file. The more legit way is to RNG both region games to have a 5 to 1 digit cross region OT, with the same SID and TID, similar to using RNG to rename event Pokemon via OT RNG manipulation. The next step to do is Nickname the Japanese Pokemon, trade it over, and rename it on the English game with the cross region characters. Accent letters for Latin and Japanese will pose problems, along with RS copies with the nickname flag bug. Anyhow, this process obviously fails when trying to make longer Japanese nicknames. This means Nicknamed 3rd gen event Pokemon, Nicknamed Shiny Jirachi, Nicknamed Celebi, and Nicknamed In game events are possible now to RNG users. Hopefully this helps Legality checkers! Thanks, and have fun!
  6. I was just wondering. Is it possible to, for example, extract a save file from Pokemon Black and import it into Pokemon White on Desmume? Are the save files for both game versions in the same format to the point where I can import one save file into both games? Or does the save file from one version only work for that specific version? I'm hesitant to check for myself and find a "file corrupt" message while I'm playing.
  7. Moon Save Corrupted After PKhex

I'll try and be short and to the point, I used pkhex to gen a team that I was theory crafting and wanted to test all were showing as legal, when I imported the save game launches with a file is corrupted message and tells me to go to my home screen. I'm using Soundhax for homebrew on a new 3ds XL region US the save manager I used is JKSM and if i try to load the save in PKhex now it gives the following wall of text error message Exception Details: System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection. A special bonus to all members of Project Pokemon: You all get a small preview of the NDS Save File Converter v2.5, that can convert between the following formats: Minimum System Requirements: -.Net Framwork 2.0 -Windows (Vista or 7 prefered, XP may or may not work) Screenshot(s): Credits: -evandixon, for making this tool -Matt140 for making the ARDSi/Media Edition convertion code, without which, I could not have the kind of ARDS MAX support I have now -Shuny at for having the original save converter that inspired me to make this tool Official Site and Download Changelog: v2.5 -Added simple batch conversion (advanced options possibly comming soon) -Added plugin function, so 3rd party developers can add their own save file formats -Lots of internal changes v2.1 Beta: -Remembers Open/Save dialog locations separately (unfortunately, only for the current session) -Improved stability of reading game names of multi-save save files (ex Mario.1.sav, Other Game Name.7.sav) v2.0 Beta: Rewrote program to be more efficient, and hopefully faster; added new look; added new supported features for save formats: save formats are no longer limited to one or all sizes, a range is now supported. Example: the M3i Zero use a RAW 512KB save file, but some games need a 1MB save file. If you find any errors in suppoted save formats, please report them to GBA Save conversion comming soon, If you wish to speed the process of GBA Conversion, email your GBA Save files to v1.9: Added beta Action Replay DS MAX file support, and ability to save game names if there is an NDS ROM with the same filename as the save, and ability to send me the game names to go in a future database v1.8 Delta: Fixed a small bug v1.8 Gamma: Because I forgot to add a crucial file in the beta, and because I have been slightly modifing it, here is a new version. v1.8 Beta: Because of so many problems in 1.8 Alpha that are fixed in the Beta, the feature described in Alpha's changelog is being postponed. v1.8 Alpha: Allowed size change of any format (very helpful for Action Replay saves); Started Working on a system to automatically load the Game name if a rom with the same name exists in the same directory. This feature will be visible during the Beta version. v1.7: Added RAW 1MB support v1.6.1: Fixed crashing when converting from ARDS ME/ARDSi format v1.6: Major Updates -Removed Plugin system, can no longer create custom plugins to extend functionability, but now works faster. Data folder no longer needed. -Fixed bug showing conversion complete message twice -Added beta auto-detect size, as well as 128KB RAW size. -Added extended support for Action Replay DSi/ME, being able to enter game info (Credit to Matt140 for writing the conversion tool, to evandixon only for packaging it within this program) V1.5.2: Raw Save to DeSmuME conversion works now. V1.5.1: Fixed bug in G6 DS Real / M3 DS Real (*.0) support V1.5: Fixed potentially fatal error, packaged with support for G6 DS Real / M3 DS Real (*.0) V1.4: Modified program to add save file formats from the list files, AND search the relative dorectory for them. I also packaged support for DeSmuME *.dsv files. Credit to Inferno™ for providing Save File V1.3 - Many new fixes: Now Easier for others to add on to, it now converts all saves to raw, THEN to the format specified by the user. It also has separate files containing a list of formats, so I can now control the display order on the form. I also packaged the newest version of the ARDSMEDUC-SAV program. V1.1 - Only updated bug in program that allows repeated Save Formats ---------------------- Download Mirror 1 Another Mirror is attached Offline NDS Save .zip

  10. Anyone have a save to the Darkrai fight or near it? Lost my game a few years ago and wanna finish it
  11. I have visited the IRC many times and asked for advice on how to help with Save Research and Development on various Pokemon games and their respective systems. However, all of my notes were erased when my laptop messed up (currently undergoing repairs). I would like to help out if at all possible, but I would like to know if I have everything I need and if not, what would be next step/software and hardware I need? I wanted to make this thread for others who might be eager to help and to have it all in one thread. I apologize to those who have talked with me in IRC before about this and that it may need to be mentioned again. Here is what I own, all of which are authentic and working: Pokemon Games: Hardware: Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also I could not find any thread (at least as much as I looked being exhausted) that would teach people who would like to help on how to aid with research all in one source. I would like to apologize if this was already asked, but I figured it would be alright since I am also unsure if what I have is enough, etc. Pictures here and here
  12. Main Files *Solved*

***SOLVED: I tried it, you can't back track, needs latest save.*** Hi! New user, and new to homebrew launcher (got it today on my original 3DS at v.11) I managed to use PKHex to generate Pokemon for me in my Pokemon X save, but I was wondering, is it possible to play old saves by using old "main" files? For example: I have main A, my current save, no Pokemon generated. I take main A, load it up on PKHex, generate a Diancie, export this main file I'll call main B (while having a copy of the original, unPKhexed main A in my Desktop) I load main B in my game, Diancie is there, save the game, and back this new save, making a new main called main C. Am I stuck with main C, my latest save, or can I load back main A if I wanted to (with no problems)? I feel like the answer is that I'm stuck with main C since if I start trading away pokemon or use pokebank, then suddenly revert back to main A, it might cause issues, but I could be wrong since I have no idea if this kind of thing still applies when using homebrew. I didn't want to risk losing my saves by trying it if anything goes wrong so I am asking it here first. ***SOLVED: I tried it, you can't back track, needs latest save.***
  13. Pokedit Pokémon Pearl help.

I used Pokedit to create a .SAV file for my Pokémon Pearl, that I tried to inject using TWL save tool. However, the file I have downloaded was a 256kb file, whereas TWL save tool tells me it is too small, and should be a 512kb file. Does anyone know how I can fix this?
  14. First to all i want to say sorry for my mediocre and poor English. Well, I throught start a new games of my old games (Pt,HGGs. Black, and White 2) but i dont have so much time to dedicate to make a perfect team. For this i want to export and change them with PokeGen (if you know a better program let me know please) and import these to they respectives games. I have a OLD 3ds with Homebrew...and with profi200 savemanager (but this one dont allows me to export (backup) old nds games, only with the 3ds Pokemon games X and RO :C.. ) Thanks if you can help me <3
  15. Hi, I was just playing Ponymon for a while and after winning Brock in the gym, i got a strange item. When I opened it it completely crashed my game and I can't do anything about it now. Is there any way to fix it? Please help. [pic of the screen it froze on] [download of my save (I think it may be useful)]
  16. Need Help Recovering Save

While I was transferring my save data from my old 3DS to the new 3DS XL, an unfortunate event happened that caused the 3DS XL to not load any of the previous saves located in the SD card I was previously using, this includes Pokemon Omega ruby, the game I had most of my competitive Pokemon in. What I want to know is if there's a way to recover those Pokémon from the .sav file and bring them back to the game trough injection, the problem is, I only have the Encrypted .sav file and have no idea how to Decrypt it to make it editable on PKHeX, if it's possible, please let me know, I would really appreciate it. I attached the .sav file to this post, maybe it'll help. 00000001.sav
  17. Pokegen will not save

So I'm trying to gen some pokemon into my Pokemon Platinum file (desmume not a legit cartridge) and after I hit save, pokegen just closes without doing anything, then I go into my game, and no changes have been made. PLEASE HELP D:
  18. gbaDatabase

I made a project about three years ago that I just decided to release to my friends for personal use, but then thought, why not release it to others? The site I made is a Pokemon GBA Database. Essentially, you upload your 128 byte gameboy advance save to the site, and it takes your team and stores it in its database. Users are allowed to freely download all pokemon in the database too. It shows you hidden stats of gba pokemon, as well as having a shiny egg calculator so you can hatch shiny pokemon 100% of the time. The site is in alpha-release mode at the moment, as I coded it three years ago when I was still new to coding, and I've just been too busy to clean up the messy code (though, when it's private and for friends, there's no needj). Here's the link: Is anyone interested in this? Should I keep it up or take it down? Thanks all -Zaksabeast
  19. Heart Gold black screen help

I just finished the Elite Four using Desmume. After the hall of fame induction, the game saved and then proceeded through the credits. Once the credits ended, the screen went black. I figured I would end up in New Bark Town eventually, but I realized the game froze. I tried relaunching the rom and it wouldn't even start up. Is there a fix to get the game started up again without losing my save?
  20. Save Editor for Flash Card Save Files

Hello, I am aware that PokeGen can be used as a Pokemon 5th Gen save file editor, but I would want to know if all main series 5th Gen games (BW/B2W2) are compatible with PokeGen when it is being run on a DS Flash Card. I would also want to know which flash cards allow trading Pokemon with retail cartridges (locally) if that is even possible. So basically, what DS flash cards are compatible with PokeGen when it is being used to edit the save file and if any of the cards also have the ability to trade locally with retail bought Pokemon DS cartridges. Thanks in advance!

  22. I'm looking for a save file with (almost) every pokemon (legal) in the pc boxes. Can someone help me with this? Or does it simply not exist?
  23. For the games listed below, when they are downloaded from their cartridges into a computer, what names are their ROM and .sav files given by default? Pokemon Pearl Pokemon Diamond Pokemon Platinum Pokemon Heart Gold Pokemon Soul Silver The actual reason I'm asking this is because the .sav file name must match that of the game in order to be recognized and read by the latter. Or so I think. So before I overwrite my cartridge's .sav file with MrPooPooPantsPearl.sav I better find out what I should rename it, unless I want the wrath of a thousand flip-floppin' Magikarps to be released upon my noggin.
  24. I'm confused about creating a save file, please help :(

I've successfully saved "pokemon (from tabs)" and generated their AR codes to my ROM's cheat list, but I don't know how to activate them. I'm wondering if I need a pokegen "[save file]" in order to achieve this process. Is there some step I'm leaving out? I'm really confused and I've wanted to export perfect pokemon to my Heart Gold ROM for quite some time now.. could someone please help me?
  25. Hi, so I've come up with up an idea that needs other people to contribute. My idea is a Pokemon gale of darkness for GBA remake. I will use the base ROM of Pokemon ruby. I need some contributors/helpers to help create tiles for it and shadow Pokemon scripting. If you want to help out leave either a reply or PM me. Just so you know you will be in the credits if you help out. If you know how to script using either XSE (extreme script editor), pocket script or pksvui And you are good at making roms. You've come to the right place! Please Personal Message me for any ideas or if you want to contribute. Thanks a whole bunch guys!
