  1. alrighty then. thankyou for looking into it codr
  2. atm im using the r4 dsi kernel. i used wood r4 for my R4DS... because the official kernels lacked compatability. But R4 DSi doesnt hold those issues, so i used them since getting a DSi. As for the R4 corrupting the sav... surely if that was the case, pokesav would read it messed up too?
  3. firstly... i really do apologise. i did not realise i could create topics in the bugs board, i thought it was just somewhere you moved threads when it is a problem, and not just someone using the program wrong. i will keep it in mind in future as for the actual problem... im not exactly sure what happened. the files are untouched as far as pokegen goes... or any other editing program. the files were .duc files (downloaded from gamefaq... one of the europe saves there) and immediately converted using the afformentioned method. they were then loaded in the game using a flashcard and then saved using the internal save. since my flashcard is being stubborn and refusing to save in 512 format, i converted them to correct size using the site and then tried to open them in pokegen. i dont understand exactly what the issue could be because the game still recognises the save without any corruptions showing.... as does the defunct and useless pokesav hgss. i do not expect a quick fix on this one... i do not presume your life revolves around this... nor do you receive anything for it. but i am curious, so hopefully with some poking around, something will present itself... OH i should point out... when i first converted the duc to sav file... before running and saving ingame, pokegen wouldnt open it atall.
  4. I havent had issues opening saves before with Pokegen, but over the last 24 hours it refuses. I have a save file created by using internal game save mechanism on an R4 DSi card... For some reason, its only saving at 256... so I use Shunyweb's Savegame converter to turn it into a raw sav file at 512kb. Loading in Pokegen gives false information and shows all my pokemon as bad eggs... weird xp values and things like that... samething has happened with my black save... not sure if its the conversion, or what, but I thought I would throw a word here to see what feedback I get. uploaded both savs and their original 256kb files, (which wont work on Pokegen anyway so I have no idea if they are corrupt or not) The files with (1) are the converted files On a side note, throwing the converted save onto my flashcard and loading it through the game.... everything works fine, there are no errors, no eggs etc. (EDIT) I thought I should mention, I am using 3.01 (EDIT 2) I just went and dled Pokesav HGSS (which I havent used for a very long time) and -that- also reads the converted .sav files fine.... so I am leaning to a definitive problem with Pokegen.... My guess would be a problem with my own personal install, so Ill uninstall and redownload, just to be safe... didnt fix the issue Pokemon HeartGold.sav std-pokemonblack(.sav Pokemon HeartGold.sav std-pokemonblack..sav
  5. Checking every 10 mins or so. The rest of the European countries are ahead by an hour or so.... so its probably time locked Update.... 2:41am.... no event yet. Im up for another hour or so. If the rest of Europe got theirs already, ours should be active soon enough. If I dont post before I sleep, Ill upload them first thing in the morn
  6. an update to the extremespeed pikachu problem I had. my contact has indeed confirmed she recieved it 2nd hand, as hasnt had time to visit Kyushu yet. so yes, non legit. Ill try to get the PGF from her when she does eventually go... and if not, Im planning a trip over in April, so will make sure to visit Kyushu Station while there with my black jap copy. Hopefully though, we get the PGF before that
  7. as a suggestion.... since desmume doesnt save as sav file by default, and converting the save file to sav can be a b*tc*.... I save the game using the actual save mechanism, then choose Export Backup Memory from the File option of Desmume... and it will create a 512kb .sav file ready to load using Pokegen
  8. Will you guys want the PGF of the UK version of the Zekrom/Resharim event? If so, ill upload them the minute their available ( its 00:05 and so far "no gifts to be found" )
  9. thankyou for the response, the SID did strike me as odd too as I was expecting the error there, for no SID. Ill have to ask her if she really did go or got it off someone else, because as i said, she is usually quite reliable. for now though, this Pikachu is going byebye
  10. Hello, Hoping you can help. I recieved this pokemon in trade from a friend of mine living in Japan. I have never found reason to doubt them before, and any japanese event pokemon they have sent me has always come up legit. http://www.pokecheck.org/?p=detail&uid=924109 I was sent the new extremespeed Pikachu event and as I do with every event pokemon, ran it through your pokecheck. I recieved errors on Location, Ball and move 1 (although I expected that one) I was wondering if you have the data for the event on your checking system, or if this is not correct. We had discussed towards the end of Feb when the event was announced that they would be going to Kyushu station to recieve the event, and she would clone it and send it to me. I havent seen photographic evidence of this happening, but as I said, she has always been reliable in the past, so I have no reason to doubt her.... but felt it best to doublecheck before I distribute this to anyone else
  11. you mean my problem actually helped sort a bug out.... wow, thats a first, usually im just forgetting to click a box or something
  12. Sure, Ill pick 4 at random... see attatchments. I have included the PKM files as ripped from the cart without editing (ripped using ShinyDTS) and the edited files. All I did was delete original PID, uncheck Shiny, Save PKM file From what I am told from the trader, these are RNGed pokemon rather than edited. All unedited files show perfect in Pokecheck, but have the ability PID error after I edited them, and I would rather not send them back "broken" Litwick - Flamebody Eevee - Adaptability Latias - Levitate Gliscor - Poison Heal Litwick..pkm Gliscor..pkm Eevee..pkm LATIAS..pkm Litwick Edit..pkm Gliscor edit..pkm Eevee Edit..pkm Latias Edit..pkm
  13. Ok, Im probably missing something very simple. I was given 10 Gen V Shiny Pokemon to edit.... the only thing that the person wanted was shininess to be removed. I checked all 10 pokemon on Pokecheck before editing (as i wanted to see if shininess had been hacked in the firstplace) They all came through the checks with no issues. I opened them up in Pokegen, Deleted the PID, removed Shininess and saved while leaving the PID blank (to randomly create a new PID for non-shinie) Now if I run the pokemon through Pokecheck, it comes up with an error on ability, saying the ability is Valid, but the PID doesnt match it. What have I done wrong?
  14. Wow... that simple huh. I actually forgot about the target game option as i had only previously been working with gen 5 pokemon. Thankyou very much Codr for responding. I absolutely love this program so far
  15. Hello. I have used Pokegen to edit caught or hatched pokemon from my game with no issue. But when I try to create a pokemon from scratch and enter the pokemon name and OT name manually, When I upload the pokemon to my game the names appear with japanese characters. I have checked the escape trash bites and everything and cannot figure it out. Any advice would be helpful. thankyou
