PID/IV relation

PKHex doesnt take PID/IV relation into account at all, so arn't any mons with changed PID or IVs in PKHex illegal?

What about PID/IV types, are they all just about rarity? the old Gen 4 PID/IV generator called one of the types "non-event", is this correct? and what is that supposed to mean? can this type appear in the wild, just never on event mons? Alot of the rarer types show as GBA only in the old PID/IV generator, is this true? So is gen 4 Type 1 (in pokesav) the only type avilable for gen 4 wild mons? What about Hatched mons? is there something special about their PIDs? can the IVs be anything or do they have to match the PID like usual? Do event mons have a special PID/IV type?

Since gen6 PID and IVs are unrelated I think

Actually in B/W U already can RNG PID and IV Mersene Twister individually.

In 6th e 7th gen not even the Nature is tied to the PID anymore, PID is basically to determine shines now.

Hatched mons from 3rd to 5th gen only have their natures and abilities tied to the PID (in 5th gen IVs are never tied to PID anyways). On Emerald, the PID was created the step you made the egg available and the IVs were generated when you pressed A after the old man's last message.

So, in gen 5+ PID and IVs are unrelated? What about Nature, Ability and Gender are they tied to PID at all in gen 5+?

Well, PID is not used anymore for nothing except shiny but any pokemon from previous generations can be considered illegal after chaning its PID or IVs if the same change would make it illegal in its origin generation.

That means a gen 3 or 4 wild pokemon should have a valid PID-IV correlation in gen 5, 6 or 7, any other value means the pokemon have been edited. And PID-Nature correlation, PID-Gender correlation, etc, because those valued cant change for any pokemon after its creation

The exception would be any gen3 pokemon that can be hatched in an egg and is inside a normal pokeball, is impossible to determine if it was caught as wild pokemon in gen3 or was hatched from an egg.

If you want to know what values are determined by PID just check bulbapedia

http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Personality_value

PD: Well, ability is excluded too. A gen 3, 4 or 5 pokemon should have the ability related to its PID, but in gen 6 and 7 the ability can be changed in game, that means no ability-PID correlation to any pokemon in gen 6 and 7

Do you mean it's not legal to modify a Pokemon transferred from the first 5 generations in Gen7?

If the modification does not follow the legal rules of the origin generation of the pokemon then it would be illegal in any generation. With the exception of ability because it can be changed in gen 6 and 7

If you transfer a gen 3 pokemon to gen 4 then 5, 6 and 7 the value of PID, Nature, gender and IVs of this pokemon wont change in any transfer. If you modify any of this values after being transfered to gen 7 if the value combinations were not possible in gen 3 then the pokemon is illegal, because the legallity of those values are determined by the generation were the pokemon was created, not the current generation.
