I don't think that is an option, but you can try inputting :[) without the bracket.

There has to be a way, or a code to put up the smiley face

That is how the smiley faces are suppose to look like.

PokeGen has a character map (a graphical representation of all of the letters, numbers, and symbols that can be used in nicknames) for this reason. The link is in my signature.

Sorry I meant I'm trying to figure out how to change the trainer name, not like the Pokemon OT it self

I figured it out, by trial and error haha, I used the PokeGen to find the code for the letter which was (01D7) for the smiley face and then I inputted it where I put the exclamation mark at haha substituted it in x]
