just a note, 41h in HG/SS pokesave effects the 'Shiny Leaf' of ur pokemon 1F gives that pokemon 5 Shiny Leaves

It means that Pokemon was either caught with Poke Ball or was hatched--meaning the default ball would have also been Poke Ball. Check out the reference in the hex value guide. http://projectpokemon.org/forums/sho...-85h-Values%7E

I tried putting 3002 for the area hatched, then the Hex for Route 29 but it still came up as Faraway Place.

Because the programmers decide they don't deserve wasting their time updating the current HGSS PokeSav and think we could just type in the hex value manually instead. Right now what we are doing is trying to find all of the location in HGSS by inputing each and every hex values. Or at least to the amount that we think should get all of the location in HGSS. Either that or the programmers were waiting for us to do the work for them to gather all the hex values at once before they do a huge update.

You would still use the location found in Sinnoh region. The name of locations such as the "Oreburgh Mine", "Route 203", "Valley Windworks", and etc. would still appear in HGSS. It's only when you traded Pokemon from HGSS over to DPPt that the location becomes "Far Away Place." Try trading over Pokemon from DDPt over to HGSS and you should get the same result.

Be sure to set the OT, ID, and SID to match your own.
