So basically, if I updated the 3ds version by mistake, I have no chance of using pkhex, that's what you are trying to say?

Yes, unless someone finds a new exploit that works on newer firmware versions.

Actually, there is an alternative: the only method that works on every firmware is Japanese game (that works only on JAP consoles) + Cyber Gadget Save Editor

Exploits are hard to find. It could be years before another exploit is found.
