Getting SS and Plat PKMN on to my retail Black 2

Hey guys, I've been out of the Pokemon loop for about a year now (After I finished Y) and I've just learnt the old GTS method no longer works, however I think that I can still trade from a ROM copy of the game to a retail cart via the Union room?

I'm trying to get the Pokemon I legitimately caught on a Soul Silver ROM on to my retail Black 2 cart as quickly and easily as possible for transfer to Poke Bank. I think the easiest way is to move my PKM files from my Soul Silver rom save to a White 2 rom save with PokeGen then use Union Room to transfer the pokemon to my retail copy of Black 2. From there I'm hoping I can just use Pokemon Transporter to get them into my Poke Bank... phew.

Is this the best method? And also, how would I upgrade the Gen VI Pokemon to look like they were transferred to Gen V with pokegen? Do I just have to update the Met info?

I have:

• a 3DS XL (UK region)
  
• a DS lite (Which I'm picking up tomorrow. Also UK Region)
  
• a 3DS R4 Gold flash card with my SS save file and a White 2 Rom
  
• a Action Replay Power Saves
  
• A retail copy of Black 2 and Y
  
• Pokemon Bank and Transporter
  
• PokeGen
