Meh, this wasn't such a great battle... if Kyogre came out earlier, it would have been much more interesting. But still... I hope you can see that even non-ubers can be used to take down Uber Pokemon... wraith89: gg Lucky: gg wraith89: lol Lucky: *Epic Fails* wraith89: I had to test it out wraith89: >.< wraith89: That's pretty awesome wraith89: lol FAQs 1) Ludicolo? Quagsire???? Are you insane? How'd you take down ubers with them? Some Pokemon, despite being not so useful in standard OU, can actually be quite potent in ubers. Take Seaking for example. Use Swift Swim and Choice Band... and in the rain, a Choice Banded Megahorn can decimate the psychic infested metagame ubers is. Also, Shedinja works better here because Stealth Rocks are not as common (although they STILL exist mind you) and can take some things down like most Kyogres (who don't carry Ancientpower or Toxic generally) or other Pokes with just Boltbeam or something. Try it out... and if you haven't realized, all Pokemon I carried but Weavile functions well in the rain. It didn't turn out as great as I thought it would because Kyogre was sent out last... but imagine how interesting it would have been if the rain was already in place. As for Groudon countering, try stuff like Tangrowth or Exeggutor... they work well in ubers with the sun, even having the ability to OHKO that Behemoth with Grass Knot/Solarbeam. But just keep in mind you can't toss them in randomly and call it a team. Also, they'll want different sets from their original OU/UU sets to function better in Ubers (for example, Quagsire runs max HP/max SpDef with Careful nature in ubers as opposed to its standard UU set with a more physically defensive set). Remember, UU != Utterly Useless... 2) So what about that Weavile lead? Will it work well in ubers? Not exactly... for many Deoxys leads carry Extremespeed to thwart Fake Out. However, it takes a lot of prediction and can work well. Mine carries Focus Sash and has Counter... so if it used Extremespeed or Superpower... heh heh, it's in for a surprise. 3) What's that Ludicolo's set? Meh, it's a simple set really... I'll bet pokemonfan uses the same set too. Ludicolo@Leftovers Calm Nature Rain Dish 252 HP/40 Def/216 SpDef - Leech Seed - Protect - Grass Knot - Ice Beam If you're planning on using it in OU, use Swift Swim instead. Rain Dish works in ubers only because of the infinite rain. Ludi can be surprisingly powerful in an OU rain team with Hydro Pump and Specs... try it out sometime. However, I'd say Omastar is your star (pun intended) for special sweeping in rain teams in OU and UU. 4) Will you post more Uber warstories here? I'm about to... I have some interesting ones against the same opponent...
