    programs list

ok, I've noticed that there is a lot of programs on this message board, that is all scattered around. so it got me to thinking, "maybe I should make a thread, to put all of the programs together in one, so that people can find the programs easier?" that's what made me make this thread.

these are all the programs that are listed, that has been posted onto this message board so far.

I did not list Pokesav, because you can download on the website. but now I did anyway. ;P

I did not post PokesavDS, neither PokeMod, because that the link to the programs wasn't on their threads. that's why they're left off of the list for the time being.

just remember: some of the information of the programs can be outdated, so check the original threads before posting on here and saying that this thread is outdated.

See this page for details and a download.

Post and comments, questions, bugs, ect here. I'm attaching the source for any who may be interested; ideally it can be reused in a real sav editor with a real GUI, but I'll leave it up to you to determine that. That said, I know the import part especially could be optimized, but I was overeager to push this out the door and have no plans to come back to it now. Have fun. ;P

    Spoiler
I have written a small console app that converts *.duc files from an Action Replay Media Edition to the RAW *.sav file type and back, making the Action Replay Media Edition a device that although I loath, more compatible with PokeSave.

To use this, drop your *.sav file or *.duc file onto the executable.
[Edit]: I forgot to mention it, but this requires the .Net Framework.

If you experience any problems, feel free to contact me.
If you have any suggestions, feel free to contack me.

    Spoiler
SAV Hacker Toolkit is a Trainer Toolkit clone - for binary files.
It helps with hacking save files. It helps map out the locations of which location go to which value.
    See it's official page here!
    --------------------------------------------------
    Current Version: 0.8.0.0
Download - Via .Net ClickOnce (Recommended)
    Download - Via MSI Installer
    -------------------------------------------------
    Changelog:
0.8.0.0: Added ability to change what number base you are viewing in the Location List. I also added another fix that isn't important enough to state here...
0.7.0.0: Added ability to save notes and Location List. To be sure that notes are saved, close the window first, THEN save.
0.6.0.0: Added more control of the Location List, allowing you to clear locations individually, add locations, and import in bulk from the clipboard, if the locations are in string format, ready to be turned into integers, and one per line. I do not have any error handeling, so it's YOUR FAULT if importing dosen't work!!!
0.5.0.0: Cahnged HEX Dialog to Number Base Converter, suports HEX, Decimal, OCT, and BIN. I also added BIN support for the HEX Dialog, now the HEX Converter/Number Base Converter.
0.4.0.0: Added wimpy HEX/BIN Editor that cannot save yet, and includes a font control (the reason for this is that when you have a large file, and display it in BIN with no spaces, it does things to your eyes, so now you can make it larger). I have also added a more detailed about box.
0.3.0.0: Added HEX/BIN converter, and added some code to run when About is pressed.
0.2.0.1: Forgot to enable new features in 0.2. Sorry!
0.2.0.0: Added ability to find Bytes that are or are not equal to something specified.
0.1.0.2 - Initial Release of BETA (.0.2 was because of a few bugs in the first publish via Click Once)
    --------------------------------------
    Planned Features:
-HEX/BIN Editor (Currently, it is to be used alongside a HEX Editor, and a BIN editor will allow you to load a file - in raw binary, with or without spaces!)
    -Fix bug in HEX/BIN converter

    PKMDS Checksum Fixer

    http://projectpokemon.org/forums/att...1&d=1243478463

Original information link to original thread
    Spoiler
    Hello once again!

I have written a small application to fix the checksums in the save files for Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl. Platinum support is on the way.

This program is for Windows only. Please note that you need the latest .Net framework (3.5 SP1) for this application to run.

The primary purpose of this application is to allow people to futz around with the hex in a save file, fix the checksums with this program, and then be able to load the altered data without the game interfering due to corrupted data.

If there are any problems or questions, let me know!

    CHANGES:

5-27-09: Added a viewer and copier for the Trainer Card signature in the loaded save file. Huzzah! And thanks to Jiggy-Ninja for deciphering the data structure.

PKMDS - Code Library and Directory Viewer

    http://projectpokemon.org/forums/att...6&d=1244904667

Original information link to original thread
    Spoiler
    Hello,

It's been quite some time since I've made an update regarding any of my PKMDS (Pokémon Deluxe Suite) projects. But I've made some excellent progress, and I have some good news for those interested in making their own save editing programs.

It has been a goal of mine for some time to create a code library for people to write their own Pokémon DS save file / PKM file viewing and editing software. Well, I'm at the point where I only need to add Platinum functionality and I should be ready to release a beta of this code library to the public at large.

As an example of the type of application one could create using the library, please see this image. The program you see here is one that I will probably release once I've cleaned it up some, but the important thing is that it is driven by the code library I am writing. In theory, any person who writes Windows applications in VB.Net or Visual C# should be able to import my .DLL file into their project and create this program (and many others) with minimal coding and without the use of any other external files.

    Neat? Yup.

I'll be posting news and updates, and eventually the .DLL itself, here in this thread. Feel free to post any questions or comments, etc.

    Special thanks:

    Spoiler
COM - For creating Pokesav and inspiring everyone to do better than him.

Sabresite - For helping me get started and giving me an endless supply of helpful advice. Also the PKM character to Unicode conversion table, and basically the entire structure of PKM data.
SCV - For dedicated patience and problem solving ability.
Also thanks to the above for the handy save block checksum algorithm.

Jiggy-Ninja - For hard work and unrelenting help, specifically the Pokédex and Trainer Card signature data structures.
Poryhack - For, among other things, the ribbon images which I have not quite used yet (but they are set up to be used, if that helps!).
Kazumi - For the Pokémon DP font (which I still can't seem to use right...)
fenzo and coolbho3000 - For creating and maintaining an awesome Pokémon community.

loadingNOW - What doesn't this guy do? Thanks for the save file documentation, and thanks for whatever else I got from you directly or indirectly.
Bulbapedia - For being handy reference until the PP wiki launched.
Serebii - For being a source of reference (at least most of the time).
Legendary Pokémon - For being a source of data.
X-Act and really Smogon in general - For answering some questions, and providing the stat formula.
GatorShark - For demystifying the Spinda spot rendering process.
Mastermind_X - For the Platinum sprites.

    damio - For being damio.
Greencat - For not being damio.

Also you're basically all awesome. So cheers!

EDIT: Added an upgraded version of PKMDS PKM Viewer to this post. PKMDS Box Organizer is probably due for the next upgrade. Stay tuned.

EDIT 2: Updated PKMDS PKM Viewer, fixing some bugs and such. PKMDS Box is proving to be a pain in the butt, so I will probably recode that one from scratch.

PKM File PC <--> Party Converter

    http://projectpokemon.org/forums/att...9&d=1245733770

Original information link to original thread
    Spoiler
    Hello people.

As you may know, one limitation in adding Pokémon to your game using Pokesav is that you cannot load a PC Pokémon into your party. To be honest, it's a rather silly limitation. Thusly: I have created a tool for converting between the two types of PKM files.

This is a Windows application, which requires the latest .Net Framework to run.

Thanks go to SCV for clearing up the encryption method of the last 100 bytes in a PKM file; thanks go to Sabre for defining the structure of that data.

And just so you all know, this is the first preview of a much bigger project I am working on, which hopefully will also be released (in a beta) rather soon.

Feedback of any kind, whether comments, compliments, positive or negative, errors... is all welcome. Post here or PM me.

EDIT: .BIN files (encrypted and shuffled .PKM files) are now supported.

EDIT: As of June 06, 2009, this should be the last update I make... unless of course someone comes across a bug. I added sprites for the loaded PKM files, which will accurately reflect the sprite used in-game.

    Save File Switcher

Download version 1.0: via ClickOnce (Recomended)
    --------------------- via MSI Installer

Original information link to original thread
    Spoiler
I have created a program that allows one to easily have more than one save file, for those with flashcarts. This program will let you switch out save files quickly by storing caching all of your save files in your Documents Folder, and allowing you to copy a selected one to a specified location, replacing it.
    -----------------------------------------------------
Download version 1.0: via ClickOnce (Recomended)
    --------------------- via MSI Installer
    -----------------------------------------------------
    Planned Features for next version:
    -Renaming
-Save Flashcart's file location, to lift the trouble of constantly having to browse to it's location
    -Open Folder in Windows Explorer
    -Icon
    -----------------------------------------------------
    I always enjoy feedback.

    Hello again!

Work has begun on a new take on the old PKMDS Box Organizer program. Now running off my new code library for handling Pokémon DS save file data, I present to you PKMDS Box MK II (now in beta)! It solves a lot of problems I had with the first box organizer as far as actually re-organizing Pokémon is concerned.

Right now Platinum is still not supported, as I have not begun offset hunting for storage locations and such. But as soon as I figure that all out, one key thing about this program will be automatic detection of the save file type (DP or Pt)! Credit partly goes to SCV for that one, since technically he did it first. ;p

    SCREENSHOT:

    Spoiler

    FEATURES:
    • Sort your Pokémon stored in the PC storage system via full visual interface, implementing drag and drop functionality!
    • Double-click on a Pokémon to see detailed information!
    • For the first time in Pokémon hacking history, drag and drop Pokémon from your PC storage system directly onto Windows Explorer as a PKM file! Drag and drop a PKM file directly into your PC! You can even drag and drop between two instances of the application to transfer Pokémon directly from one save to the other!

Please bear in mind that this is a beta; more and more features will be added as time goes on.

    Anyway, check it out!

    Spoiler
alright, here are the ARDS and ARDSME installers of Action Replay Code Managers.

    Action Replay DS Installer
Action Replay DS Media Edition Installer

also, these have the correct NDAlink.inf files, which are the driver files, that connects your ARDS to the computer.

if the ARDS one doesn't work of connecting your ARDS to the computer, then try the ARDSME one; because they're both the same, it's just that the ARDSME one has an extra program with it.

now you don't have-to worry about losing your ARDS discs, because I've provided them for you. ;P

one more thing, you don't need to mount these on your virtual drive, to run the setup files; if you have a virtual drive.

    Spacing fixers

Original information link to original thread
    Spoiler
I've heard a lot of people complaining about the ARDS portion of pokesav isn't working.. well, here's some explanations, of why they aren't working as well as they should, and what solutions you can take, to make the AR codes working to your advantage.

    pokesav, proper lists version
this version clearly doesn't like to support ARDS function, because of the spacing bug.
why this happens? it could be that it's tied to the full names of the pokemon and items that are listed properly.

there are two ways to fix the spacing issue.
    • one way, is the old-fashioned, time-consuming way, of doing it yourself. it's not recommended, unless you have a crapload of time on your hands.
    • there's also another way, with a web page, that does the spacing for you, which is here(thanks to Jason). also, if you want to fix the problem offline, there's also this program to download(thanks to Biohazard), if you like. I would recommend the web page more though, because that also supports .txt format files as well, unless someone proves otherwise that the program also supports .txt format files.

    pokesav, ARDS Code Output version
this one is most reliable for people who has ARDS, but the names of the pokemon and the items aren't consistent with the game, so you would have-to add the full name manually, which can also be a little time-consuming, if you want your pokemon to be completely legal and "look legit".
there's also a bug in the ARDS portion of this version, which I thought was fixed completely, but I guess I was wrong, since I've noticed a couple of posts that the game ID isn't complete, and is missing a letter.

there's two ways to fix this as well.
    • one way, is to fix it by opening up in notepad and putting that letter that is missing in the game ID.
    • another way, is to just save it as .txt format, so you don't have-to deal with the game ID bullshit; since because .txt format only saves the code itself and maybe the name of the code, not the game ID and extra HTML junk that comes with .xml formats.
but doing it this way, would have-to make you put the codes in the old-fasioned way, by copying and pasting the codes into your ARDS Code Manager(tutorial of that is here), which could take a longer time to put your codes in your ARDS cart.

so, there you go. ways to fix your AR codes! have fun hacking!

Sometimes, Action Replay DS Codes are not properly spaced, meaning that they cannot be put into the code manager, and that you have to manually fix them.
This program will fix it for you, so you don't have to.

    Spoiler
Hi all, this thread will be to discuss the development of PPRE.

Currently I am completely re-doing PPRE and PPRE beta 0.05 will be out soon.
    Special Thanks:
Special thanks go to loadingNOW and pichu2001. loadingNOW's thepoketext system is an integral part of PPRE and provided me the address to the game's script handler when I was getting started with studying scripts. pichu2001 has helped tremendously in trying to figure out script commands.
    History:
PPRE started out as a program with a whole new concept. The first versions of PPRE were based on the code for Nitro Explorer 2, written by Treeki. This allowed for reading DPP roms using the NDS file system. One thing that I did not like was that I was using C# to code PPRE and had used C# to code PPTE (Project Pokemon's Trainer Editor). While C# is a great language. I wanted to try to support all of Linux, Mac and Windows.

Also an integral part of PPRE will be loadingNOW's thenewpoketext system. thenewpoketext is written in python. Rather than learning python to translate thenewpoketext, I decided I would learn python and use PyQt to code PPRE. New versions of PPRE will work like thenewpoketext in terms of reading the rom data. That is, it will use ndstool to unpack and rebuild the rom. For Linux usage depends on wine. I have not tested on Mac but it should work the same way.

    Official Versions supported:

    Diamond (USA)
    Pearl (USA)
    Platinum (USA)

However, many of the features will work for other versions and if something doesn't and there is enough demand I will add support for it.

    Latest Release:
    Windows:
PPRE beta 0.06 (includes loadingNOW's thenewpoketext with platinum support)
(go to: http://projectpokemon.org/forums/sho...&postcount=112 for more information.)
    Mac/Linux:
PPRE beta 0.06 Need Python 2.6, Qt4 AND PyQt for python 2.6
    thenewpoketext (updated with platinum support)
    Planned Features:

    Pokemon Editing:
    • Main Pokemon Data
    • TMs/HMs able to learn
    • Level Up Attacks
    Map Editing:
    • Script Editor
    • Event Editor
    • Text Editor
    • Encounter Editor
    • Trainer Editor for the specific map
    Trainer Editor:
    • General Trainer Editor

This list is very imcomplete, but the general goal is to be able to edit as much as possible.

I added some pictures of some of what I currently have.

a MegaMan fan, in a Pokémon hacking message board.. unusual, is it not?

somewhat of an ARDS expert. ask me anything, if you have trouble using ARDS codes or the Code Manager.
if I don't reply back through PM for at least three days of when you sent the PM, contact Baka_Kyuubi84 through PM. he'll help you.
one little reminder, I DON'T MAKE AR CODES!! I only test them to see if they work and help others use ARDS Code Manager easily and efficiently.
