i saw latios randomly once i started emerald again, no wobbeffut and the others, just threw my masterball xD
I assume you reset Emerald between those two captures? Only one of the two are supposed to be wandering around the wild... in both Ruby/Sapphire and Emerald, you need the Eon Ticket to capture the other.

You were pretty lucky on your first try, I caught both Latis with my Masterball. In emerald I used the duplicating glitch to duplicate masterballs so I had enough
Something's not called a miracle because it doesn't happen. It's called a miracle because once in a while, it does happen.

I believe this works for Sapphire, since it did for D/P/Pl for catching Mesprit. You have to be at the edge of the route though and must have Latias data in your game.\
Just run to the other route meaning walk 1 step into the Route and Latias will be at a different location, keep doing this until Latias is on the route you are on, use a Repel and go through the Grass. Also remember, the Pokedex helps a lot ;].

Your best chance is to have a path that leads 3 ways. Mauville is is perfect if you guess right Latias/ Latios will appear before you. My method was having a bike and entering houses until it gets near. Then i enter the route that is opposite of the one it is currently. If it is not on your route return and choose another path. This way worked for me.

Personally, I would suggest finding a nice area in which you enjoy the scenery.
Run around the grass. Even without repel, after about 5 enc. if she hasn't shown up, move to the very next area and repeat. If she still hasn't shown up, move one more area away and repeat.

If she still isn't there, start going back. Move back through the two areas you were in before, then turn back again.

Latias continues to move whenever you switch areas. Just my two cents.

Not gonna be on as much anymore. I'm still around though!

    Re: Where to find latias?

both time i ran into latias and latios, i had nothing but great balls. the first time it happened i was like "this can't be!!" the second time it happened, i just slapped myself.

to this day, i still don't have neither of them legitimately catch by me
as i grow older, it's hard to sit through an episode of pokemon, but i make up for that 30 minutes with hours of catching them all!!

In Saphire I think Latias is in the Wild even before you beat the Elite 4, at least I caught Latios before I beat the elite 4 in Ruby, if I remember right.

You can find Latias anywhere. That pokemon roams around the map in different places. So it will take your friend a little while to find it.

    Re: Where to find latias?

well it took me forever the first time too. If you haven't seen it yet, it is impossible to track it. So what I would recommend is to just play your game normally and complete the other events (i.e. Capture all the other legendaries such as rayquaza, regice etc.) And eventually you will encounter it by acedent. It will flee the first turn you find it so if you don't have the master ball or mean look it will flee and you'll have to find it again but now you can track it with your pokedex. Open Latias' pokedex entre. It will be empty but if you look under "area" you can see what route it's at. BUT BEWARE! If you find it and accidently make it faint it will be gone FOREVER and there will be no way to catch it again except delete you profile and start all over again. The other way you can get it's entre instantly in your pokedex is to mix records with a pokemon trainer that has a latias in there party. That way, when you find their secret base (I recemenned asking where their base is while mixing records). Then when you go to their secret base you can battle that computerized trainer and since they'll use latas it will be registard as "seen" in your pokedex. One other thing, if you still want to hunt latias, here is a tip, It will only ever be an routes that are connected on both sides. Which means it will never go down a route that leads to dead end and it can also roam on oncean routes so keep that in mind. Well, sorry this was so long because I have a habit to ramble on and on, on these forums but I hope this information helps

that's depende what room are you playing :
if you're playing sphire it's too easy after seintg him on the TV ! go to Tall Grass / start searching & it will be the 1st time that you encounter Latias
but if you're playing Ruby : You need a Card Event : Eon ticket Then go to slateport city take the ship to ( Souther island ) ther you going to encounter Latias next to a Rock

    i think i help you =)
