[edit] Introduction
Pokémon Platinum is a Generation IV main series Pokémon game. It follows Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, containing the same basic gameplay mechanics, gym badges, and adventure. Platinum also introduces new features and locations, as well as a different story arc featuring Giratina. It was released in Japan on September 13, 2008, and in North America on March 22, 2009.
Platinum follows Pokémon Diamond and Pearl in the sense that you continue your journey in Sinnoh, the badges are the same, and the same mechanics. However, Platinum includes many new things such as the
WiFi Square, a different arangement of gyms you face, the
Distorted World, a newly remodeled Battle Frontier, your own Villa, (Courtesy of the R/S champion, Steven Stone) 210 Pokémon in the Sinnoh Dex rather than 150, and many more features! There's an International Police agent, and a new Commander of Team Galactic who was once friends with Rotom...

[edit]Battle Factory
The Battle Factory is rather Self Explanatory, you pick 3 Pokemon from a 6 Pokemon roster, and do battle. Every time you beat a foe, you are warned of the next opponents Pokemon, and allowed to swap one of the Pokemon you are using for one of the Pokemon of the defeated enemy. The Frontier Brain shows up after 3 complete streaks. Every time a streak is complete, you pick from a new set of 6. Streaks have 7 battles each.
[edit]Battle Tower
The battle tower is the same as in Diamond and Pearl.
