After updating Pokegen just recently, I have still been using it.
After I generate the codes, add them to my Action Replay and press the activation button to make the Pokemon appear in the box, I get the blue screen of death, saying: An error has occured, please turn off the power."
Note: I made sure to press the button before I interacted with the PC, which usually prevents that error from happening, and I've been careful to not save while the generated Pokemon are in the box, so the error does not remain.
I have never had this problem before updating, perhaps there is a bug in the code generating? It's not my Action Replay, I have a few other codes for a Victini, Jolteon, etc, generated by an older version. (Used for giving great deals on GTS.)
My game is a legit copy of Pokemon Black Version, and I know I'm risking alot of things here. But my game, as far as I know, is unbugged. I take great care to not save with bugged Pokemon in my PC. Each code I use makes the blue screen appear, should I just go back to the previous version, which worked?<-- Nice emoticon btw!
Please post the codes so we can have a look. If they are long, use
Spoiler Tags
the code works perfectly in white 2. absolutely perfectly. in fact, if you use the "extract pokemon from code" feature in pokegen, you'll see it makes a perfect copy of the pkm. there's really nothing wrong with the code. and since it's made to work on either game, there should be no problem. it's a simple data write code, nothing complex that might break on a real AR. try turning off all other codes, just in case.
e: codr just pointed out to me that you're saying "pokemon black version". this code is for b2w2. redo it with the game set properly.

Details that're needed to verify that the codes are working properly:
- Game language
- Box/slot used
- Activation button(s) used
- Which target game was selected
Aww geez, thanks a bunch, didn't even know it sets the target game to B/W2 on startup, I'm used to its startup target for B/W. Thanks, I didn't even see it. I'll try it out.
Also, quick question, is there a way to make a tradeable lv. 9 and under Reshiram/Zekrom? I've been experimenting ways, but it hasn't worked for me. Have to get back at those GTS buffoons.
No since the lowest leveled Reshiram/Zekrom is 50.
I'm also getting this problem when attempting to generate a Pokemon code for use on Pokemon White (not White 2). This is the generated code I've been given.

Game language - English
Box/slot used - B1 S1
Activation button(s) used - L+R
Which target game was selected - White
I am also having this same problem with my Black version. I have set up all the parameters correctly, making sure to generate the code for Black and not Black 2. I know for sure that my cartridge is working properly because I had input a different AR code to receive a different poké I had found online, and that worked perfectly. I believe it is the AR code generator on Pokégen.
Here is the Code I have been trying to enter (I want my Butterfree):

I'm checking these now. I'll edit the post with my findings.
Edit:
There's no way this came from PokeGen, unless there's some bug that isn't immediately obvious. That address is so wrong. (Edit way after the post: I'm not sure what I was thinking when I posted this, or if I just wasn't clear, but this code can in fact come from PokeGen, but NOT with the target game set to Black/White.)
Edit 2:
No, you didn't. You may be selecting the correct code game, but not target game.
