Mystery Gift Question and Question about IR-GTS

Hey guys, new here and this is my first real post so if this is obivous or in FAQ and I missed I am sorry
Anyway, I was wondering if there is anyway to send the event items for HH/SS or B/W in a way similar to IR-GTS. I searched around and the last post I could find was someone asking in 2010 so I am guessing a little development has happened since then.

Also I was wondering why after I send a pokemon using IR-GTS I always seem to get a communications error but the Pokemon still appears in my Box or Party.

Answer to #2: Depends on a few factors, but it is normal.
