So I got an ARDS today. I was gonna use it for my plat, since I can't take risks with Diamond. Now, when I try to update/connect AR with code manager, they can't detect each other. I'm using a 32 Vista laptop if that helps. Please help, this is a brand new AR.
And I even tried resetting. *Though I added platinum afterwards. Do I have to reset again?*

Also, will it work better with Windows XP?
I can't say for sure but I think AR is not compatible with Vista, but maybe it is, does it have any options that let you update the software? If so update maybe it'll fix it.

Updating Vista, or the AR? >_<
I wasn't sure if AR worked well with Vista either. It downloads the software, but it just won't let me update, nor will it recognize my DS.
Updating the AR.. but it seems it isn't working so that more than likely means that it's not compatible with Vista =/

Well, at least I somewhat know what the issue is. I'll try to connect with an XP computer tomorrow. >_<
Thanks for your help.
I've gotten the Code Manager to work just fine with my Vista laptop.
I'm a Natu.
Spoiler
It does. The newer ARs had a problem with the cord. It had older software than the disc. Here is a nice little guide to fix it. The one I used was better, but I can't find that guide anymore.

Otherwise, you might want to take a look at NitroHax. It works with ARDS codes, but is a homebrew application and only depends on a simple XML file which can be edited with a text editor.
I've gotten the manager to handle codelists, subscriptions, and code transfers but no software updates yet and I'm still running Vista. I had the same problem as you; what you need to do is get a newer software version for your PC. I don't know how new the version that Soldjermon put up in the RAM Editing section so you could try that or do what I did (found a link to a "hidden FAQ section on the codejunkies site" that has the software available as a direct download).

I agree with evandixon, once you get it running on Vista, it's way faster than on XP. (Just a hassle to set up...)
