Pokemon and OT name error when creating Gen IV Pokemon

Hello. I have used Pokegen to edit caught or hatched pokemon from my game with no issue. But when I try to create a pokemon from scratch and enter the pokemon name and OT name manually, When I upload the pokemon to my game the names appear with japanese characters. I have checked the escape trash bites and everything and cannot figure it out.

Any advice would be helpful. thankyou

Wow... that simple huh. I actually forgot about the target game option as i had only previously been working with gen 5 pokemon.
