pokesav wont open no$gba .sav file

As my title says my .SAV file made by No$GBA 2.6a (the game is pkmn diamond btw) won't open in pokesav for diamond & pearl, it keeps giving me a wrong file type error.

after a couple hours of googling, and finding tons of posts that say change a certain file in the no$gba.ini file, i found that the ini file created by my version of no$gba doesnt have said setting that needs to be changed, not quite sure what to do at this point

any ideas?

Add the line to NoGBA's config if it's not there.

You're referring to this right?
SAV/SNA File Format == RAW

If it still doesn't work, post the .sav.
