Using Pokegen for Desmume emulator on a mac

I cant seem to load my game into the pokegen program. Ive done research and found that you need to export files or something on desmume , but i think that is only on pc's cause its not under the file menu when i load it and i have a mac. Can anyone tell me what i need to do?

When i tried to do the same thing it wouldn't let me either. But, i found out that if you go to the Battery folder and select your pokemon game's .dsv and load that it works =)
