Archived Sticky: Gen V Event Collection and Contribution Thread

Recommended Posts

THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO CONTRIBUTES TO OUR EVENT COLLECTION!

The Event Gallery page can be found here.

Here is a collection of Generation V events that we have collected so far, in pgf format.

Use this thread to contribute events as they are released and collected.

Please submit the pgf file as an attachment in a zip file.

Use Pokegen to extract pgf files from your sav file.

Feel free to add screenshots, and Event/Wonder Card descriptions in the post, if you like. Please also state how you obtained the event itself. Please submit some photos from the event location as well, preferably of any poster with the distro information on it, or of the location itself. DSi and 3DS have a built-in camera, so that shouldn't be too difficult.

Only make posts here if you have a submission, a comment regarding the validity of submitted events, have noticed an error in the collection files, or have noticed a missing event.

If you want to make a notification of an upcoming (or missed ongoing) event, make a new thread in the "Event Pokemon" forum and include a link to the source (sources are very helpful, especially for non-English and non-Japanese events).

Here's every image in acquisition state so far for Japanese Region Wonder Cards.

Distribution Text is missing for most of these Cards. It's really a matter of researching what they were when they were distributed, as it's on the Distribution side and not in the actual Card Data. The only one I have in the Zip is that Movie Preorder Victini.

Pokémon Mystery Egg Campaign

As Black and White 12 aired on May 31st, 2011, to promote Han Jiu (한지우) getting a Scraggy (곤율랭) egg, the Korean Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection distributed a Mystery Egg.

The special Pokémon Mystery Egg Campaign event for Pokémon Black and White allows players to only receive one egg per game.

Do the Korean pokemon not have an IV set to 31 as the Eng and Jpn ones did?

The data of this wonder card file does not reflect it.

This one is the Axew. Hopefully other people can contribute the Pidove and Pansage.

Here are the missing 2, along with a recorrection of the Axew Card. The one I've downloaded from WFC has the correct IVs like the other Releases of this Event.

I'll see about finding the Liberty Ticket Wonder Card in Korean at some point.

I guess Mystery Gift Editor didn't extract the .pgf properly. I didn't double check it at the time. I used Mystery Gift extractor to double check my .sav and it indeed has the 31 IV. Adjusted my above post for the Teogeomni, regardless Nigoli has posted all three of them now anyhow. Sorry for the mix-up.

Thanks, Sunain and Nigoli.

We're currently trying to sort out which program is best for extracting which language of pgf file.

I think it's safe to say that Mystery Gift Editor doesn't handle all the data well enough.

I'll add these to the archive soon. I may wait until the next batch of BW events, though, and add them all at the same time.

It's probably not as good, but I've been using pokesavbw for my PGF antics.

Japanese pokesav with applocale (or running in Japanese OS) works just fine for Japanese WCs and preserves all data correctly, as far as I can see.

Still need to do more tests to see how it handles special Eng characters like the accented e. The only text in pgf files is the name of the WC (not description), and OT name.

Modified versions of Pokesav (such as translated versions) CANNOT BE TRUSTED as they have shown to be quite buggy and contain many errors in data handling.

Still need to do some more tests to see if PokeStock handles them ok, but it's clear Grovyle's Mystery Gift editor doesn't work completely right.

Greek Snarl Zoroark, Karrablast & Shelmet

Card Title(s): It's a Karrablast!, It's a Shelmet!, A special Zoroark!

Card Comment: Thank you for playing Pokémon! Please pick up your gift from the deliveryman in any Pokémon Center.

Date Card Received: 6/18/2011

My friend Erlade was able to visit a Multirama location on June 18th to get these Pokémon. Extracted using PokeSav JPN 0.06c, hopefully that worked instead.

Guested edit: Checking now...

They appear to be fine, adding them to archive now.

Thanks for your contribution!

I have added them to the collection and updated it.

6-19-2011

Collection archive updated.

Added:

Greek (ENG) Multirama events: Karrablast, Shelmet, and Snarl Zoroark

On a side note, this contribution has displayed that arhacker's Mystery Gift Extractor does not handle all WC data correctly and much of it is lost on dumping. Still unsure on how pokesav will handle special characters, as the text in these WCs' titles was quite simple.

Stay tuned for a simple alternative if you are unable to use pokesav.

Thanks for your contribution! I didn't even know about this event...

It'd be very helpful if people could create threads in the Event Pokemon forum when new information about Korean and European events is announced.

Wonder Cards are from the Special Showing of the Double Feature Movie 14. It's also noted as Pokemon Movie 11 for it's year. It's always been like this since Dialga VS Palkia VS Darkrai (Movie #10 / Pokemon Movie 07)
