HyperGTS problem

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to send a .pkm file (Obviously)

There seems to be some kind of problem, though.

I start up HyperGTS, select the .pkm to send and I set my DS's Primary DNS to my computer's IP.

Then I click "Start DNS" and "Start GTS"

However, then I connect to the GTS, the DNS part seems to react to my DS trying to connect, but the GTS part doesn't do anything and I don't receive the Pokémon.

<Pingouin7> Weird... Well I need help with HyperGTS

<Pingouin7> it seems to connect to the DNS server, since it gets some reaction

<Pingouin7> but it doesn't connect to the GTS server

<%Chase> DNS redirect working?

<Pingouin7> I looked at my Router's settings and found the ip to my computer. It said 192.168.0.100

<Pingouin7> Tried that, the DNS server part of HyperGTS shows some reaction when I connect to the GTS, but it connects to the actual GTS instead

<%Chase> then the redirect isn't working

<%Chase> mmkay, listen up, crash course in networking

<%Chase> DNS Server allows the resolution of host names into thier relevant IP addresses

<%Chase> which is how you connect to google or yahoo

<%Chase> you need to configure your rounter to point all resolutions of a certain DNS to your computer instead

<%Chase> Some routers can do this just in the configuration, others requires you to have a server with a DNS server on it.

If someone can clarify what that meant, that would be nice.
