So... why a Move that lowers your attack, and a move that forces you to switch out? After a Swords dance, even after the attack drop Superpower is a 2HKO on 252/252 Skarmory ( So imagine what else it dents! ) U-turn is by far the most useful move for scouting, not to mention Scizor is generally not going to be SD> U-turning mid game anyway .

The SD set is supposed to be a "late game sweeper" but with most metagame's littered with water and steel type pokemon, even with bullet punch scizor is MUCH better suited to Mid game roles. Especially as the U-turn + Superpower combination wears down an enemy team coupled stealth rock, very quickly.

Roost is there so instead of nailing a switch in like scizor would normally do, you can recover off of the Life orb damage and continue wearing down the opponents team. Replace it with Bullet punch once we get platinum moves though

Once he can use BP, also change his EV spread to this 200 Hp/ 252 Attack/ 56 Speed.

Wow. Just amazing. But I have one question... does Scizor learn Superpower in Diamond/Pearl? And if you don't mind, I think I'll use Swarm on your set because Technician doesn't do anything at all for your Scizor but Swarm CAN boost U-turn (until you get Bullet Punch, I guess I'll keep it at that). Is that okay?

Swarm is fine, I Originally had quick attack over roost, and forgot to change the ability to swarm.

Any specific reasons why you want 56 Speed EVs in Scizor? What exactly does that help outspeed?

It gives enough Speed to outspeed Impish 12 speed EV skarmory.
