Hoenn: Starters Poll

Hoenn has nothing over Kanto. I think Kanto will always have that respect over any other Pokémon game because it's the foundation. You can't build a house without a good foundation.

Hoenn felt like a different game overall :-/
Nevertheless, it isn't so bad enough to relegate it as terrible though...

Treeko gets PWND easily. Mudkip's last evolution has the best combo. It can destroy almost anything.

I know! Treecko isn't bad by any means!
He's the fastest starter the game has to offer (even faster than Infernape)!

Treecko is one of the best subseeders in competitive battling. He's actually the best grass starter, although he's frail.

But even then, I prefer Venusaur because of his tankiness. He's done the best job for me... even defeating a 6 CM Suicune for me one on one.

And you thought Hoenn starters were bad... (do NOT look at the spoilers!)

I picked Mudkip. I was only... some where under 10, so my older bro told me to pick it. I thought it was cool, too, so I did. Turns out he got Treecko. :|

It was a long time ago when I played Emerald... I don't recall how it affected my journey much.

One Pokemon Challenge... it's easy to complete it with Mudkip. Mudkip is arguably the best starter of the Hoenn starters, and possibly the best starter of all 12 starters.

What are you talking about? Just because you hate how the thing looks shouldn't mean it should hamper its ability to fight.

WTH? What did that poor mudfish ever do to you?

It is the best one though. Even though I hate Infernape and want to strangle it and whatnot, I can't deny it is very useful in competitive battles. The same goes for the mudfish, only the mudfish is cute and owns you.
