Parasect (aside from Paras) was the only Pokemon that could use Spore... a 100% accurate sleep move. I heard Parasect was used for Mewtwo-slaying technique... but I am not exactly sure how. I'll bet it is Swords Dance + Leech Life + Spore + Substitute... Leech Life still hurts and heals you and after a Swords Dance it will... be like 20% damage still.

We won't know for sure about Generation V... but I don't think I'll like it. The screenshots for the protagonists... both genders look exactly the same -_-

Chansey is the only thing I think can "counter" Mewtwo... but isn't reliable. Electrode is faster than Mewtwo and can paralyze it, which is detrimental on Mewtwo... but can't do much else otherwise and will get owned anyhow. Parasect was bug type... sure... but what bug moves could it use? Leech Life? Erm... NO THANKS. Besides, bug didn't get powered up by Growth anyhow. Yeah... Mewtwo = beast.

And yeah, why would they expect a Pokemon game to have great graphics anyhow? I prefer gameplay over graphics any day... -_-

Which is why I like the old nostalgic games... it was so much more exciting. It was a lot more exciting going through the entire Kanto map (it wasn't even called Kanto then) and fighting the Elite 4 and then grabbing the ultimate Pokemon of all times... the RBY Mewtwo with the scary special of 154 and that beast of a move called Amnesia. Fun times... I would have liked FRLG if it didn't feel like a lazy rehash... it was all right but felt VERY lazy somewhere.

The older a franchise gets, the more it seeks to please their adherents using fancy modern graphics and whatnot. It happens to everything before they eventually die out.

And now I passed the 1000 character limit. Great...

I don't know if I'll start Black/White either... since I'm enamored by HGSS... and the screenshots for BW's Beta doesn't look promising. The protagonist characters look even duller >.<

The thing about the newer games is that there are TOO many Pokemon that they basically "force" in some legendaries into the game. I mean... Platinum's legendary birds? Where in the world did they come from? It was totally random... I mean sure, it makes Pal Parking NOT necessary but it seems forced to me.
