  1. Read the first post: Your 3DS should work fine with the exploit.
  2. Are you sure there was an update? I haven't seen this mentioned online anywhere, and my Alpha Sapphire cartridge can still go online with the 1.2 update. In theory, the game can't be patched from this type of injection as it is done through the browser; a system update is needed to fix it.
  3. 'Legitimate' is just an imaginary concept in terms of Pokémon. Once a Pokémon is in the game there is no way of telling whether or not it was created by the game or created by an external program, as long as its moves/ability/stats/metadata are all legal.
  4. You can just generate the required legendary and inject it into the game using the web exploit.
  5. Yes, as long as the 2DS is running one of the compatible firmware versions (9.0-9.4).
  6. The serial key is checked against a server which then distributes a Pokémon if the code is valid. Like the rest of the GTS/Mystery Gift functions, this is encrypted and so reverse engineering it is not a viable option.
  7. Excellent work both of you. Out of interest: what method are you using to get to the data itself? Apologies if this is a silly question but I've not been keeping up with the 3DS hacking scene lately.
