  1. so im trying to recreate my old team, making it as pure as possible. i want everything to checkout flawlessly. i BELIEVE ive successfully done it. double and triple checked that i dotted all my i's and crossed all my t's. however i am unable to correct some of the names of my pokemon. for example my Dugtrio is named FERALIGATR lol.. (because i took a legit feraligatr from my ss and modified it, so it would have all the From/Met/OT look as legit as possible), but every time i try to change it, TrashBytes come up illegit. anyway, what im asking, is you look over my 5 .pkm, make sure everything checks out, legit attacks according to location and such (for example chansey needed to come from Fire Red to have Seismic Toss) and for goodness sake, please change Dugtrio's name to Dugtrio, and Chansey's name to Chansey. i was serious about the $5 dollars thing, ill paypal $5 dollars to whoever is kind enough to assist! please&thankyouu !
  2. im trying to mod/create a chansey in PokeGen, to appear as one transfered from firered. im not sure what all needs to be set for it.. is this right? Main>Nickname>CHANSEY\FFFF\B318\020C\3730 Main>Origin>Fire Red Met>Game>Platinum Met>Location>Pal Park (<- is that right?) Met>Ball>Pokeball Met>Level>1 Met>Encounter>Egg/Pal Park/Event/Honey tree/Shaymin
  3. hello everyone, i was wondering if pokemon Red v1.0 has ever been translated? my friend and i had searched for one a while ago, and couldnt find it. if no one has translated Red 1.0, were very excited to start translating it ourselves, however if it has been done, can anyone point us in the right direction so we can look into the translated version? cheers
  4. im trying to use a hex editor to edit my .sav file, but for some reason it cant make heads or tails of the .sav. usually theres some amount of usable amount of information, recognizable numbers, text, ect. are the .sav encrypted? i want to edit some in game things, anyone have any suggestions? thanks
  5. yes, the program I used to import all of my pokemon seems to have invalid trashbytes, so the Pokemon have a ?????? OT (owned to).. I'm waiting for an update on the program, otherwise I uploaded my firered.sav file a few posts back if you want to manually trade them over
  6. sounds like this program will be fully functional, can't wait
  7. Cilan (Striaton - Grass), because i didnt know about that fire monkey pokemon you can get.. so i lost like 10 times against him... but in doing so i learned that i get less exp each time i beat his pokemon, as i level, something they newly implemented, an exp curve..
  8. lol god.. mute the volume, or play something over it, nonstop Pokemon music will drive you insane with its 8bit audio
  9. LOL well its a morally gray area? SIGH.. yeah thats true i guess, but i mean the only difference between manually exporting a ton of legit pokemon, and using an importing program (besides the time it saves), is that i dont have to go out and buy another DS.. i mean once theyre transferred, theyll be no different than if i bought another ds, and transferred them all over by hand.. i spent something like 220 hours on my firered a few years back, just grinding all day long catching every pokemon, sorting them, then playing ruby and trading, then sapphire and trading, and going to friends houses, and trading.. now that i think back to it i dont know how i did it.. in my opinion, it hits the same "gray" area, as uploading .pkm files at all, since youre manually placing .pkm files in your game anyway, instead of using a real DS to trade them in, it doesnt really matter that you used the same kind of program to extract them there in the first place.. if i had taken the Fire Red game sav, and manually dragged each .pkm from it, and placed them in a folder, instead of using a program that will extract and transfer them all, would that make them legit? in my opinion its the same thing, the only thing that matters to me, is that all of the pokemon were caught legitly, so all of their data is legit. no questionable moves, sketchy stats, like many "hacked" pokemon, who either have a Pidgey's moveset on a Raquaza, or the oh-so-typical "Caught in: Pokemon Leauge/Battle Tower".. this is how i see it anyhow, so as far as im concerned, the pokemon are legit anyone else, thoughts? (actually, i really would like to hear your thoughts on what ive said, Guested)
  10. if we can figure out exactly what the error is, it should help to fix it, pay attention to the PID, and trash bytes aswell, when you compare them look at their details in PokeGen (link), it will offer more details than just legal.exe
  11. now that ive actually used this, it works great, it doesnt just let you move all the pokemon, it extracts all the .pkm files manually, and throws them all together in a folder, in order. totally sick. @m_plat yeah i tested legal.exe on a few too, and all my genders say invalid, but when i actually open them in pokegen, as their genders are obviously correct, i dont know what invalid gender means.. maybe it has something to do with trash bytes? (tho i dont understand really how they work, of what their purpose is?), ive yet to try any of them in gts or online battles, to see if theyre allowed to enter or not, have you? what did it say?
  12. heres the original fire red. my computers dead, and im away from home for a few days, so i have limited options, just my phone has battery right now, heres the firered.sav if youd like to take a look at it yourself http://www.multiupload.com/EK0OZ1QK9R i think one of the programs i used to convert the pokemon is causing the error, im going to investigate into this a bit more, and hopefully have a fix soon. it will help to pinpoint exactly whats wrong with the pokemon, so the program can be fixed accordingly. if no one else figures it out first, ill be able to check it out in a few days when i get back
  13. no origin eh? 2 programs, this one to extract them from gba save found here http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?17512-pokemon-firered-sav-transfer&p=134109#post134109 and the poketransfer to make Gen 4 Gen 5
  14. heres gen1-3 NEARLY finished no net for 2 days uploading from the car netbook at 7% see if you can sort them, 16 are missing, 3 of which idk which here they are in case the attachment in OP doesnt work http://www.multiupload.com/989LV5OGMP if someone can check these pokemon, i found a program to import all of them from my fire red, the program failed to import a handful, 16 to be exact, 13 of which i know, 3 of which are unknown. if someone could look over my attachment id greatly appreciate it, netbook at 4%, will die any second take care see you in a few days i hope the file is alright
  15. emerald uses 64kb .sav files, while fire red uses 128kb .sav files, which dont seem to work in enciclopedia pokemon, at least not for mine, im going to update my .NET framework and see if that helps. i believe i may have found another solution however, ill be able to check it out tonight, and hopefully will be able to upload my gen 1/2/3 collection some time tomorrow (fingers crossed). how do you get both genders/abilities? do you edit them on pokegen or do you actually catch each version? if youre committed to obtaining all genders/abilities, ill continue collecting as well
