NDS Adaptor Plus and Black 1 Game Sync ID
Abra Kapocus replied to Abra Kapocus's topic in Peripheral Hardware
The only thing I used that could be quantified as a "cheat" would be the Wondercard Editor. And, no, I used the same DS every time. I honestly don't know what happened. The things I go through for the ideal team... I just want a Sheer Force Nidoking... [edit] Perhaps because I swapped back to my old save file AFTER I changed the clock, it counts as "using it in another system." I'll have to try it again tomorrow to see if it works. -
I recently started a new game in Black 1, with my old save backed up, with intentions of visiting the Dream World for the first time to get a Nidoran Male with Hustle, only to realize for the first time that a new game file means a new game sync ID... which cannot be changed on the global link website... (what were they thinking when they did this? Honestly) So then I reloaded my old file via my NDS Adaptor Plus, with the expectation that my Game Sync ID would also be saved within that old file. So I went to the Game Sync only to find that it needed to be recharged. I know it's been two days since I changed the clock, so what gives? I read somewhere that using external devices can permanently make the Game Sync be "out of energy." Does this include swapping save files via the NDS Adaptor Plus? So... am I hosed? Or does swapping save files merely count as "using the game in another DS?"

I'm having the exact same problem with SMR2010 Jirachi, FAL2010 Mew, WIN2011 Celebi, and the Gamestop Shiny Entei and Raikou. I did nothing to them. All I did was RNG for perfect or near-perfect IV's and a few Hidden Power 70's. Should I ignore those?

OOOOHHH! Well, I feel pretty dumb, then. I just now realized the difference. -
Wondercard Distribution

Because, apparently it does work, and I was just a little confused at all the "can't be done" talk I was hearing about earlier in the topic. Maybe I'm missing something here. Of course, I haven't actually tried it yet myself, as I'm still struggling with what appears to be basic network issues with sending Pokesav generated mons via the GTS. -
GTS: website research (support thread)
Abra Kapocus replied to Vlad's topic in RAM - NDS Research & Development
*sigh* Okay, here's my problem. So I have the latest version of Hyper GTS (version 1.02 by Shiny Jirachi) running, selected a Poke to transfer to Platinum, then clicked Start GTS. Then I opened up the DNS server, said "yes" to everything, and the server was started. I changed my primary DNS for my DS to my PC's IP address, and changed my secondary to that of my default gateway. I talked to the lady at the counter, got on the GTS with six mons in my party, and no dice. It proceeded as normal, and I didn't get the mon I tried to send. No further activity in either the DNS server nor Hyper GTS was logged. Special conditions here: I have DD-WRT for my router's firmware, and I have it split into two subnets. A WPA2 for my main one, and WEP for my secondary, which I have been able to use to connect to Wifi for a while now. What specifically am I doing wrong? Anything I could have possibly overlooked? As for the DNS Server program, am I supposed to do anything with what it detects as my Real DNS server or my Local IP? Where do I find the Fake DNS, if there even is one to be used? Anybody? Please? I'm dyin over here! -
Modified Hyper GTS Woes
Abra Kapocus replied to Abra Kapocus's topic in Systems, Flashcards, and Emulation
Okay, I'm still having loads of trouble with this. I set my primary DNS to the same as my computer's IP address, as stated when I clicked "get IP." Not at all sure what my secondary DNS is supposed to be, so I just left it the same as my default gateway. I start the GTS, then I started the DNS. I connected just fine, and the logs don't report any additional activity at all, and I just connect as normal. This is kinda starting to piss me off. -

Hey, just thought I'd leave this here. Apparently, this works well enough. http://gbatemp.net/t211989-send-pkm-files-to-retail-games? -

Cool. I'll try that when I get home from work. . . Tomorrow. . . -
I'm getting just a bit flustered here. So I have the latest version of Hyper GTS running, selected a folder of two Pokes to transfer to Platinum, then clicked Start GTS. Then I opened up the DNS server, said "yes" to everything, and the server was started. I talked to the lady at the counter, got on the GTS with six mons in my party, and no dice. It proceeded as normal, and I didn't get the mons I tried to send. Special conditions here: I have my primary DNS changed to 192.168.1.136 as per the request of SendPKM in one of my earlier attempts, and I have my secondary DNS at the same number as my default gateway. I also have DD-WRT for my router's firmware, and I have it split into two subnets. A WPA2 for my main one, and WEP for my secondary, which I have been able to use to connect to Wifi for a while now. What specifically am I doing wrong? Anything I could have possibly overlooked?

First post here, having a problem with this very thing. After editing my DNS to what "sendpkm" tells me, my DS can't connect to Wifi period. I should probably mention that I have DD-WRT as my firmware and a split subnet, with WPA2 as my primary and WEP for connecting to Wifi via my DS. And Nintendo's website is pretty much no help at all on this issue.
