Meh. I can't even OHKO Level 42 Golbats with Return. What is this madness? I guess I'll try Lake Acuity then. The power of Staraptor will diminish later... you'll find it soon enough. I got trolled all over by a Magnezone and a Lickilicky. For the latter, Close Combat + Quick Attack didn't even finish it off. :/

It felt retarded, but I survived its Brick Break by trololol 2 HP from 35 even with a - 1 Def. I guess Impish does work sometimes :P

EDIT: Confusion is mean. Every time in confusion, my Pokemon always hit themselves in confusion. Simulators or in-game, it's the same -_-
EDIT2: Just met a Golduck level 40 in Lake Acuity. Return didn't OHKO, it Water Pulses, dealt like 44% damage, and confused me. Great >_>
You know what? I'm just going to resort to Brave Bird. Heal up when I need to.

Since you seem to know a lot about creating competitive teams, is Metagross a good Pokemon for battling. It's my favorite Pokemon, so I feel like it should be on my team

So it isn't just me eh? Mine has over 100 attack because when I try to feed it Protein, it doesn't work. And Impish isn't all that bad either, I mean, it isn't reducing its attack or speed or anything. Yeah, and yours is Adamant... and that makes me wonder too. Need I remind you this is like my 3rd or 4th time using Staraptor, and it always ends up the same exact way. I don't know what it is. And I certainly don't want to resort to Brave Bird to OHKO things (last time it left ALAKAZAM, an ALAKAZAM, with 1 HP with BRAVE BIRD)...

All right thanks. I'm just gonna grind a bit at Victory Road, but I don't know where to grind Staraptor because this place isn't it.

Regarding Staraptor. This always happens. I don't know if it's just me and my troll IVs, but this is like, 3 playthroughs and I don't think that's how it should be. I'm always commenting about how Staraptor is broken, and how awesome it is. It learns the right moves, has the right stats, and has the right abilities. It ends up in everyone's teams and is very good at what it does. Even little kids use it! But every time in the end, more often than not it is a liability, and ends up fainting the most out of all the Pokemon I have. I know, I shouldn't leave it against a Magnezone to Close Combat it, or something, but really? It never OHKOs what it should OHKO... even though there is a lack of STAB. I just taught Staraptor Return and finally got rid of Quick Attack... I can't even OHKO Level 42 Golbats. Not Pidgeot, STARAPTOR. Again, I don't know what the problem is... but in the end it is always something I end up not using. I hope I'm not doing something wrong.

EDIT: Okay... after passing Victory Road, I have 3 Pokemon at level 51, Gardevoir barely made it to 50 at the end, and Roserade is 48 and Staraptor is 49. Looks like no matter what approach I try, even doing all the sidequests, I end up the same. This calls for slight extra grinding. But this time, I've got tons of Pokemon with the advantage against whatever Victory Road offers, so it should not be a problem.

Hax... my Froslass OHKOd a Pelipper with Tbolt, with 3 Stockpiles! And no critical hit... how do you explain that?

I just encountered a mean level 48... and sometimes they spam Barriers to troll over my Staraptor :/
So far I've seen Barrier, Water Pulse, and Poison Jab. Idk their other move... but they're tough. In fact, you can just catch one there and train it for the E4.

Look at the "development" of the last 3 gyms... there isn't a lot. I wonder why that is. Could having more party members affect how much EXP I actually gain? This is something that occurred even in my previous playthroughs... similar effects happened. Except this time, Roserade caught up. I guess it's because of that electric gym. I'm going to train them up a little more before I hit the league... and if what I get isn't adequate later on, then I'll have to grind X_X
