When I trade hacked pokemon from my Pearl to my Platinum version, the summary screen on Platinum still says "apparently hatched at (whatever)" rather than "met in link trade".

How do I fix this?

There's no way to fix it. The reason it says "apparently" is because it does not have your Secret ID and ID. It should say where it hatched and where the egg was received. Not met in link trade, that's only if your trading eggs.

It does have the right Secret ID and ID. What causes it to say apparently? I've traded legit pokemon between Pearl and Platinum that still say apparently met.

No what I meant was, that the IDs you made for the pokemon do not match the ones on your Pokemon Platinum. It probably matches your Pokemon Pearl IDs. But, if I'm wrong, its probably because of the fact that it is traded. That causes it to say apparently.

Ah, I see. Well now I feel foolish for posting this thread.

Oops, gave you the wrong information. Trading a pokemon does NOT cause it to say apparently. Rather, its that the IDs do not match. :P

The IDs of the trainer and the Pokemon? Or the ID and Secret ID of the Pokemon?

The ID and Secret ID of the Trainer.

What?

How can the Trainer's ID and Secret ID not match? D:

Oops, the ID and Secret ID of the trainer do not match the ID and Secret ID of the pokemon. Sorry D:

at0msk313, if you captured or bread a pokemon yourself it says "Met at" if you did not capture or breed it yourself but got it in a trade from someone else, then it says "Apparently met at". There is nothing wrong with a pokemon thats says "Apparently met at", unless your are trying to pass it off as your own and made the OT name and the visible ID match your platinum's information.

You can load your .sav in pokesav and look (on the first page)
Otherwise, there is an AR code for it in RAM Editing (look in the stickies).
