Sabre should correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe what he meant by "proper" was something more like "not hand-made" and/or "actual" pgt and pcd files. These substitutes are good to hold us off until the real deal is obtained (which may be some time), but I don't think they should be considered final.

Well if that's what he meant, then no these aren't the final versions. I expect it'll be sometime before we get the real ones. There weren't many people who attended the event.

I don't mean to be argumentative, but there were MANY people who attended this event. And there will be many more who attend, as it is ongoing. So that's not the problem. The problems here are new technical and logistic problems that I don't really want to get into here. It's POSSIBLE for someone to get this pcd/pgt dumped, but ... the chances are much smaller than all previous events.

It has been stated by some that the PGT data is an exact replica of part of the data of the PCD. I have not verified this myself, is this correct? If not, then I will request only the actual PGT (accompanying the actual PCD) be contributed where possible.

They ARE unique... but.... I don't know, it's not my call. I have already run through this course and I think I completely skipped catching the Pikachu cause I just didn't care enough.

If a Pokemon has 5 pokemon, it's because two pokemon are the same species, but they are usually different from each other by level or moves or something, or at least step count. There are very few instances of this, though. Usually it's six unique pokemon.

It said "Pichu Distribution Only" and I did not get a pic of that unfortunately, but did get a pic of the manual, since they had to read it to figure out that they had to press the a button to start the distro.

It's great to be able to get events like this through this community, despite living in the Pokemon-deprived Canada. I swear, of all the countries that can get events, we must get the least (only 1 so far). It's completely pathetic. There are a couple Gamestops around me up here, and I really wish they we'd gotten this one... I know I'd be able to convince one of the employees to let me dump the distro cart. Ah well.

Well every store is different but at the particular one I stopped by they put the DS in a cabinet under the counter that the cash registers are on. It was on the shelf closest to the floor - I would estimate to be about 5 inches. I visit the store about once a week and will post a pic later of the counters in the back.

Same for TRU distros, it is under the counter in the electronics section that they put the cash registers on.

EDIT: I did notice that a few Items were missing from the first post download, The secret key is missing the PGT for the English version and Also the Movie Shaymin is missing the PGT as well also the Member card is missing completely for all languages if anyone has the missing parts for the Secret key and Shaymin and both parts of the Member Card especially the English version please post links here

Sabresite asked for several of the corrupted files to be reuploaded or sent to him several pages ago. Some people uploaded several WCs throughout the thread so you may want to check all the attachments :)

Is there an American TRU Regigigas WonderCard available here? The only Regigigas looking even close is the one listed here under "English & Europe", but it's the one from the UK/Netherlands. The OT and ID and date received (on the card) are all different.

The PCD of that Pichu is one hex value off from being identical to the PCDs for the same event uploaded previously by 2 other users... though I'm sure that's due to the fact it reports in Pokesav as being recieved February 6th instead of January 13th.

How'd you get the Jirachi so early? I think I'll still wait until the official beginning of the giveaway to distribute it to my game (for the appearance of as much legitimacy as possible), but it's still cool to have it so early.

You are correct sabre, the Pichu cart they are using also has the Jirachi in it, and when their DS's internal date rolls over to the 27, it will start distributing Jirachi.

These files are perfectly legit though, all I did was ask them to change their DS's internal date to the 27th, for a few minutes so I could download a Jirachi.

That, added with the fact that it has a different serial code than the Deoxys rom, is why it is genuine.

There are currently 3 revisions of the distro ROM so far.

1st is the Single distribution ROM, the Deoxys distro.
2nd is the Multi-Language distribution ROM, the European Shaymin distro.
3rd is the Double Pokemon distribution ROM, the Pichu and Jirachi distro.

All are considerably different from each other.

The WCs are two separate files, and because the data.bin file no longer has WC data that means Nintendo had to have changed the arm9 binary file in order for the ROM to know where to look for the WC data. Also, the 4 byte code that tells the ROM what region games can receive it, is no longer in the "ggid.dat" file it is now contained within the arm9 binary file.

This is why Australia got WiFi events at the same time as the US, and why the Mystery From Space Deoxys from Gamestop will work here even though it never came here.

A Secure member by the name of pkmzbreeder works for Gamestop, he got the ROM or such weeks ago if that answers that question.

I didn't know that there was Korean Yellow Forest Course event going on. I just wanted to try if I can get Japanese Mew over Wi-Fi but instead I received Yellow Forest Course. :tongue: I used the PCD Safe Program to extract .pcd file. I have no idea how to create .pgt file so someone who is experienced can test the .pcd file and if .pcd works, someone can upload .pcd and .pgt file in a compressed file(.zip OR .rar).

I think I extracted correctly because PCD Safe asked me which slot and I put 1 since Yellow Forest is the first event I ever received from playing Korean Version of SS. I think the file size of 856Kb seems to be correct too. If the .pcd is wrong, I will remove the attachment(which I don't know how to do yet).

If anyone is curious Korean name for Yellow Forest is "노란숲", pronounced "No Ran Soup".

EDIT1: The .pcd works perfectly. I have tested it using Japanese SS and Korean HG.

I don't extractly understand what you mean by 'check'.
Check as in hex values (I don't know how to do) or Check as in fully functional in the game.
I checked the second option and it is fully functional.
I received correct wondercard ingame in Korean SS Version and Jirachi's OT, Country Region[KOR], etc. is all correct.

That's what I did when I didn't check the forum for a month. I went through about 12 pages in detail.

Short answer. No.

The reason is that no version of Pokemon Diamond, Pearl or Platinum supports the Korean alphabet save for the Korean and Japanese releases. As I've come to see, the .PKMN files will work but all data that would appear with a Korean character, will appear blank. Personally I archive all Korean WC's that appear here purely for archival reasons. Otherwise, they are typically no different than the equivalent event anywhere else in the world.

Hidden Hex only appears on Platinum/HG/SS events. Events obtained in Diamond or Pearl don't need Hidden Hex Values.

The WC should be fine. Some Gamestop employees and even some normal customers were able to get it earlier than usual.

No. Just like ordinary Pokemon, an event Pokemon from Platinum/HG/SS will have Hidden Hex. They take the value from the location where they were obtained i.e. Pokemon Event in this case.

i dont think so because the game creates the pgt after recieving the pcd so recieving a japanese pcd would create a japanese pgt and recieving an american pcd would result in an american pgt

So!

I found out there's a bug in the Pokémon Distribution Patcher.
It seems not to set the version distribution correctly.

Everytime I try and set it to Diamond/Pearl/Platinum, I get an error when I try to read the data from the rom.

I found out that the version distribution limit is at offset 0005DC50 08 and 09.
So since it doesn't seem to work quite properly with the patcher, I recommend hex editing it manually.

So yeah, after further research it does seem to be located on offset 0005DC50, bytes 08 and 09.

There's also WCDPatcher by MicShadow over at GBAtemp.net. It lets you change the header, description, distribution limit, etc. However it doesn't let you change the date range; it just removes the date requirement.

True about the version distribution, I guess (although I believe the program does let you enter any value you want in place of the provided options, and it will use that value instead; eg. 801D). It's never crashed on me, though. But it does suits my needs quite well as all I want to do is insert a different wondercard and alter the header and description. I want to keep my *.sav files looking as legitimate as possible, so I never directly edit them with Pokesav, and I've never used an AR on them. Also, I don't want to have Wonder Cards in a save which they couldn't originally have been recieved to (ie. Member Card or Oak's Letter in Diamond or Pearl). So I just set everything else to "no change".

But I'm sure if you PM'd MicShadow with the hex values for distribution to each version (and all 5) he'd create an updated version. I once saw a thread (I think on here) that elaborated on the structure of wonder card files, but I haven't been able to find it again so I'm not sure of all those hex values myself or I'd send the message. Do you know that thread, by any chance?

They are actual events, but because they are literally just normal Pokemon with OT/ID#s from people in the Daisuki Fan Club, there is no real way to verify their legality.

So I recieved that Pichu and used pokemon mystery gift editor to take out the pcd (and used the first 260 bytes of the pcd to make the pgt)
If I did this wrong please let me know but when I opened them both up in the mystery gift editor they looked right and they have not been altered in any way.
edit: I don't know what the "corresponding gift slot" is but when i opened my sav in pokesav it says it was:

Then it was either just a PKM file or the PGT file... both of which are essentially worthless (ie, one hundred percent reproducible by checking a box in Pokesav).
"Manaphy Egg" has its own category for "gift type," meaning it is essentially a key item like the Member's Card or Oak's Letter.
The Egg you get from Ranger 3 is in no way different from the Egg you would get from Ranger 1.

You cannot generate pkm files from a game cartridge. They cannot magically transfer to a computer. By definition, a pkm file is not legit because it involves using an external device to extract it from the game cart to the computer.

I don't know what you "heard" but the person either lied to you or you made it up. Search and you'll see the same announcement. It's at the top of every single forum.

Also, this is the projectpokemon.org forums. We are in no way associated with pkmdb.com (besides Fenzo used to admin here and we have similar materials we both cover) and cannot speak on their behalf. Why you are asking about pkmdb.com on projectpokemon.org is a complete mystery to me.

Finally I had access to the wondercard for the Brazilian Oficial Distribution of Jirachi, the pcd and pgt files are attached.

As I explained in this thread (http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?7282-First-Brazilian-event-coming-Jirachi), it seems that it is the same wondercard used in Mexico, the official distributor of Nintendo products is the same in both countries (Latamel).

I just noticed something about the Michina arceus. on the Official Nintendo Mag site one of the staff has been to the event in the U.K and the OT is MICHINA (all caps) whereas in the file i got off here it was Michina (mixed) is it regional thing or is the 'Michina' a fake?

Nope, the australian was "Michina" while the european OT is "MICHINA" and the ID/SID are different of course.
Here are the files, but be aware that they have wrong dates since I didn't got them at the event where this Arceus is supposed to be downloaded.

Do you have a link to the announcement you're talking about? I've seen the announcements about the actual event download page being worked on (they've been up for months, how could I not have?), but I've seen nothing as to why all the downloads have dissapeared from this thread's first post. That only seemed to happen recently.

exactly, I have seen the initial announcement about the event pages getting updated, its been their for ages, since last year in fact, but I cannot see an announcement with regards to the removal of the event download attacments at all, and its like every single event download and attachment has been removed. Before I ask for help or post anything, I do actually use the search button to look for my answers, but unfortunattly in this case I have not been able to find any answers as either nothing has been posted or the posts have been removed, so I cannot find any answer. As its shown, I am not the only one to be noticing this.

I reuploaded the archive. Sorry for the downtime on that. I have been away getting my computer stable. I reinstalled windows 7 (this time 64bit) and I have been swapping memory almost every other day for the past week trying to get a combination that works properly in my comp. I finally found a pair :D and its $100 :\ I ordered it today, so that should solve my problems.
