Can you extract battle vids from the retail cart or do you have to do it from a ROM that you have backed up? I would also greatly appreciate it if someone could post or link to a tutorial for this.

I don't currently have a flash cart and I have been using an AR for my pokesav purposes but after reading this site and forums I am thinking of gettng a flash cart. Do any of them work with the DSi? I have both a DS and a DSi but I would perfer to use the new one. For that matter, does AR work with the DSi?

Finally, what flashcarts do you recomend and why?

The best way to record videos now is to upload your save data to the computer, load it through an emulator and play the recorded match with a video recorder active. Or you can do the lazy no-one's-going-to-watch-it-anyway method and hold a camera up to the DS.

Most people, including myself, like the Acekard 2i. It works with the DSi and unlike other confusing flashcarts, the Acekard is simple to use.
